We don't normally get more than 1 or 2 Vipers at our events, so when 5 showed up, including 4 Gen V's, we just had to send 'em out together.

That's what I miss over here, you rarely see a Viper at all. I did see a Gen I RT/10 on the Autobahn the other week. First Viper "in the open" this year (not counting mine)!!
But it seems it's even quite a rare sight in the U.S. ;-) Anyhow, really enjoyed seeing five of them on the track together, makes for quite the photo.

James , have you reached out to Edwin Stucky at the Swiss Viper Museum in Givisiez? Switzerland has the largest concentrations of Vipers of any Country in Europe , which is amazing considering the small population of your Country. Check with him and I am sure you will find more Viper owners than you expect ----- the VOA Club there is a pretty good size so maybe a trip to the Museum would be fun when the Covid Crisis allows more get togethers?

Thanks, Cable. It's in Edmonton Alberta... long way from you! I did drive a 720S on it a couple of years back... found out how stupid fast they are by turn 2... it's the only bone stock car I've ever driven with ZERO understeer. You may find it interesting that up here, my wife has had to turn on her seat heater on her way to work every single morning this year except, perhaps three days. Hasn't reached a high of over 84F yet and might not.

Quit bragging TA Two Oh, those of us down here in the Southern North American Country have been having plenty of days where the 90s are a daily constant. The NASA Race this weekend in Topeka , Kansas is projected to be in the mid to high 90s! I think I like the sound of your weather a lot better than that, ha!

Only the mid 90s? Better bring your flannels!

Bill, thanks a lot for your words. Yes, I heard of Edwin and his museum; I'm actually going to visit by the end of this very month. It's a few hours away from where I live (but for us Swiss people, a drive of over one hour is already considered "a long drive" :-)). I heard of Switzerland having the largest concentration of Vipers in Europe; it still amazes me. Even though I'm often on the road, I hardly ever see a handful of Vipers in any year. But, this is going to change as I also joined the Swiss Viper Club. This year, unfortunately, scheduling conflicts didn't allow me to participate on drives so far (and I also only got my first Viper in May).

James you will find over the next year that there are many Vipers in Switzerland and I am sure you will acquire many new friends. Most of the Vipers I sold , over the years were in the predominately Swiss-Deutsch speaking portion of you Country and not as many over near Geneva where a Swiss-French language is more common. We will look forward to your future postings and congrats on acquiring your Viper!

Awesome! I only tracked the 720 twice now, both times I was spinning the hell out of it. LOL. With any traction control on, even in the fancy drift mode setup it was killing power when I hit the curbs, shut everything off and kept spinning it. Luckily no walls at this track or I wouldn't have been pushing so hard. I guess I'm used to the ACR aero. I spin the Viper maybe once or twice a year.

Geez I hope so, but the Covid 19 is really affecting our desire to travel, and will for quite a while we're afraid. It's such a worry I did the unthinkable...I cancelled a track day at Circuit Mont Tremblant next month in Quebec due to requiring an overnight stay :(

A track buddy bought one recently and says the traction light is constantly flashing just driving on the street. He won't track it, with more confidence in his ACR-E and GT2RS. Btw, he sold his ACR-E before buying the GT2RS and then bought it back again...Vipers rule I hear ;)

I met a fellow at our local track with one yesterday that rarely tracks it. It's his 4th Mac and he preferred the 675 on track, despite it having lesser power. He tracks an AMG GTR Pro and is waiting for a Black Series which should be a real monster on track.

Great photos! Edmonton...that's down South, if you ask my Mother's family up North in Beaverlodge. Actually I spent several winters at Cold Lake (near Edmonton) flying against the CAF F-18s. I'll give you that it gets cold! Forty below is hard on a Texas boy. How many months a year is the track usable?

Cheers

Ugh.... I long for the day when my local Viper comrades show up to play at the track. Must be nice. I'm looking forward to our upcoming track event at CMP on the brand new surface and I'm the only Viper signed up right now. Awesome photos above.

Does that Gen IV have a soft top? Could it be an ACR convertible?

Love hearing stories like this and, in fact, is what pushed me over the edge to order my ACR-E. I remember the video of Ben Sloss and thought there was no better recommendation than from a guy who can literally afford anything.

That was the kind of message that FCA should have hammered home. They could have followed up with these guys and offered to get out to any track they like to shoot some proper professional marketing material. Then, run the hell out of it on social media, etc. I think the word eventually got out which is why values are so strong, it just happened very, very slowly (many Fcar and Pcar guys do own ACR's).

Anyway, I digress. Lovely photos to the OP.

Love hearing stories like this...

Another track buddy sold his ACR-E a couple of years ago, then tracked it down and bought it back. Another sold his Gen V a year or so ago and is now searching for another to rectify that mistake. The car is very unique and as such makes it rather tough to replace with pretty much anything else imho.

Earthmoving equipment will be on site on the 17th of August. Presumably 2020 but after eight long years...

It is a soft top, but unfortunately it's not an ACR. It's a well modded car, built for roadcourseuse.

Pappy... I need to introduce you to close friends of ours that live permanently in Las Vegas. (That is if the border ever reopens so I can get back down there) He's a car nut like us, and a talented builder... currently restoring an original Ruf Turbo R. His wife grew up in Beaverlodge. I've actually been there too because my moms side of the family homesteaded in Grande Prairie. I recall you telling me about Cold Lake. I think a good amount of Cruise Missile testing happened there, mostly because if something went wrong, there was no possibility of lives lost; too harsh for anyone to live out there!
