So I finally aw her in person today

At shop on lift. She got new plugs, high flow air filter, new hubs, 02 sensors, belt, braided brake lines, harnesses, slicks. Got my plates too but it’s raining of course.

She’s a beauty for sure. Can’t wait for our first drive :smileys-car-driving

Check for play in the ball joints(front and rear, specially lowers), steering rod extensions and tie rod ends.

Congratulations. From a desert rat, you might want to consider good insulation for the air inlet and MAF sensors. When the IATs start getting high, this thing pulls a lot of timing and the power goes away.
I also recommend heat shielding for the fuse box, ECU harness, and O2 sensor wires.

Belt? Old one look bad? Otherwise, get on out there!! How tore up was the car when you got it delivered?

Keep an eye on those oil cooler lines...they all leak sooner or later.

One of the hubs was leaking. I’ll check the oil cooler lines. Will insulate the intake and here’s a Bubble :anonymous:

That garage and car collection is insane

Wish it was all mine. It’s the local race shop I use, ANSA Motorsports.

2 guys maybe they are billionaires have collections that are insane. 1 guy has 1950s Ferrari’s, Porsche 962, MB 300SL. Other guy has all the big $ new Porsche, Ferrari + a bunch of race cars. Both great guys.

Oh yeah... Gen 5 cars are truly amazing driving machines and the best true drivers car IMO for the street and track. Once you get fully acquainted with your Viper and learn all its mannerisms, you'll be able to push hard and the car will reward you.

Took my son out today. The car is such a Hooligan it’s hard to behave. I punched it for a second & the tail went out left LOL. Much wilder than the Lmbo SVJ which is like a Toyota around town until you hit CORSA & let the beast out.

And the Gen 5's are tame compared to previous years.

I wouldn't call it tame when you turn the nannies off

Running the sub belts over the front of the seat? There are slots between the seat back and seat pan to run the straps if you want to.

Like MoparJohn said...don't run it under the front of the seat. Run it between seat bottom and seat back. If you run it like you have it, hard braking will pull your body down the seat and it will not end comfortably.

Mechanics did that. I’ll fix at track.
They said slicks were rubbing so using stock tires tmrw. IDK if we’re on banking or infield.
Let you know. I got some GoPros too

I know this has been said before but I really believe that EVERY post you make should include a new shot of the Bubbles.

How was Homestead? What did you think of the ACR?

EDIT: Just saw your other thread.
