I would like to upgrade the Brakes on my 2013 Viper GTS and would like some help as to the best route to take. I wrote to Racing Brakes about their kits but didn't get a reply. They have a two piece rotor upgrade that looks like it would fit. What the difference between the spirited kit and the racing kit? I was also looking at Stop Tech but they are for BR4 brakes and I can't seem to find which brakes are on the 2013 non time attack cars. Racing Brakes also has a balanced kit but again I can't get an answer as to fitment. Is there another option I should consider?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Short points, IMO go with racing brakes
Phenomenal customer service
Better pad selection/sizing
Vented pistons
Better rotors
I posted all of the stop tech part numbers in a past thread, Jon B can take care of you if want to go that route
TA calipers from what I recall are the same as the base model.
TA have 2; piece rotors and base models have heavy 1 piece rotors
Anything better like Alcan brake setup and your in the $20k ball park

What's your budget and how many components do you want to upgrade? You can get the ACR calipers which bolt right to the stock spindles and run ACR sized rotors. Not sure why RB isn't responding, but if I were in your shoes, I'd get this: https://racingbrake.com/dod-irp-02

Thanks for this. I'm not sure either but with all this Covid-19 stuff a lot of people have cut back. I have custom wheels 19/20, when they were making them brake clearance was something they needed to know, so are these the same size? it looks as if the rear calipers are the same but going to the 6 pot front, would that cause an issue?

Can I ask what your goal is with upgrading the brakes? Are you trying to get more stopping power at the track? Or are you experience brake fade too early? Or is it purely for aesthetic reasons?
What do you currently have? The 2013 GTS did not come standard with the track pack rotors which were the 2 piece Stop-Tech aluminum hat rotors. A lot of 2013 GTS had the solid rotors which are heavier and tend to fade quicker than the track pack rotors.

I upgraded to the ACR calipers with steel rotors on my 2013GTS. These should have been on the vipers from the factory. I did a write up on the install. It is a fairly basic instal to do. They feel great on the street so far. Weather is just starting to get nice here in the North East. You have to also purchase 19

Are trying to make the car look more aggressive? If not, you would never find the limit of the stock brakes on a track if you are running street tires and good fluid.

Pony 23, Thanks I love how they fill up the wheel. I have custom wheels 19/20 so they might fit. Tony Nine Ball gave the specs for my wheels so I will check with him to see if I could fir the ACR calipers and rotors.
Viper Bite and Arizona Vipers, It is both for aesthetic reasons and stopping power. I'm having TT added to the viper and the DCS Tractive suspension, so I thought a brake upgrade should be in line also.

These are heavier than the stock stoptech that come in the track pack right?

They have a larger anulus (smaller diameter hat) and I believe they are a bit thicker. So yes they should be a bit heavier. They take an R1001 pad which is larger than the stock pads although they use the same caliper as a non-TA Viper.

They are a lot heavier, the Stoptech's have aluminum hats etc, one of the reason the track pack cars were so light. If I remember correctly, they were 8lbs a corner lighter than the standard rotors.

your 19"look bigger than mine, trying to decide if the 6 pot calipers would fit. They look great but I'm not sure on a three piece wheel if they would fit?

Imzoomintoo, Tony should be able to compare your wheel specs with mine, or at least get you mine too. He sold me the forgestars wheels that are on my car. If you need any measurements let me know.
