Wow. Worse than Viper Xchange!

Yep. They started at $209000. They have had it for a while. I think they got the car around the same time the buyers at Barrett Jackson raised the bar a bit. Luckily in their eBay listing it has OBO along with the price.

I’m thinking 165-170. What do you guys think??

Wow. Worse than Viper Xchange!

Soon enough $200K for that car will be a good deal.

Yea, saw that one. Consignment car. Price is really out there and don't want to deal. Odd ownership history....carfax 3 owners and one of the new owners occurred while the car was for sale back in Jan?

Back in December/January I was looking at buying another ACR-E in GTS blue with white stripes. It was on eBay. Had every carbon fiber piece, 18 speaker stereo, and a 9 liter extreme engine with Accusump and Nth Moto clutch. It had around 5,000 miles on it. It was immaculate. The owner kept it in a climate controlled garage in a bubble. It was on consignment to a place which I can't remember. If memory serves it was listed for $178,000.

I was able to connect with the actual owner who would have sold it to me at $165,000 once it came off of consignment. The consignment shop adds a commission and hence the higher $178,000 price. The owner tried to cancel the consignment so I could buy it but the consignment shop would not let him per the contract. The consignment was to end on January 29th and I was going to buy the car. Unfortunately for me it sold a few days before the consignment ended.

The morale of the story is that for $165,000 I could have gotten a fully loaded ACR-E with the 9 liter extreme motor I wanted. I had thought that instead of upgrading my ACR-E/TA I would buy an ACR-E that already had the engine upgrade. I figured that I would leave the ACR-E/TA stock given how the market for them has been. After losing out on the GTS blue one I said WTF my car has 20,000 miles on it and it probably would not be one that garners a lot of value as a result so I went ahead and did the upgrade. Delays due to Covid-19 has made the upgrade slow but it is now done and I should have it this coming Tuesday.

By the way, upgrading the engine to 9 liters can easily run over $4x,xxx depending on how crazy you go. Mine was actually even higher as I took the opportunity to have the CF taillight panel installed as well as CF brake ducts. I also had the shop install my Racing Brakes front calipers, new rotors, DSE Trans/Diff cooler, Viper Specialty top of the line oil lines, and other stuff. They tried to install the Autoblip but no matter what they did, including soldering, it threw codes. A friend who had Prefix do the install has had continual problems with the damn thing. I think it is too much of a pain in the a$$ to bother with. TKO, where is your blip setup???????
