Threw this code with cel the other day. Research seems to suggest it's a nuisance code associated with disconnecting a battery and/or with storage. In my case I never disconnected the battery and have always run a deltran when not in use in the 3.33 years and 1,100 miles of ownership.

Battery is original and voltage is great. Car runs fine and pulled strong in high gear on the highway. Only electrical considerations I can think of was the software update. However, that uploaded successfully and it was four months ago. The only other is I replaced the key fob battery last time I ran it about one month ago.

I followed advice on here in other threads to just perform 3-5 cycles to clear it. I did that and it worked & the cel went away. Hopefully it disappears forever. Has anyone else whom has experienced this had it return or has it necessitated further service? On the plus side if my car has COVID-19 there's less than 1% chance it will croak.

Thanks.

These cars are quirky. Example, I always use Hibernation Mode, as cars sits for weeks at a time, AND use a tender. Have for the 5 1/2 years I've owned it. Fob battery replaced fall 2018. This past February, car had been sitting for 8 weeks. Get in as normal, and "fob not detected" when pushing start button. Third try, she fired up. Subsequent restarts (2) were fine. Replaced battery in fob. Next day, all good. That was the last time I drove it until yesterday - 9 weeks. Get in, "fob not detected". Third try, after pushing a couple buttons on the fob, she lit right off. Subsequetn restarts, all fine.

Viper battery good, tender always green, and she reads 14.5 volts during operation. So, I think it has something to do with coming out of hibernation mode after a long time. But don't know why only starting now.

I guess my long winded point is, the electronics are weird. I suspect your code will go away. Wish I could be more help.

It's already gone because I cycled ignition several times.

Just wondering if it's gone gone.

I got that same code on my '08 the first time I replaced the battery.

It's gone gone on mine, but only because I went in and turned it off completely. I can see why the EPA would care, but I do not. I want to be alerted to more pressing matters.

When you read the code does it say something like "Engine Timer Off"? If it is this code, it is the stupidest code ever. Will often happen if you disconnect battery for any length of time. Clear it and move on. Don't give it another thought.

Yup that was the one exactly. Done & done.

Thanks.
