Red and black is the best looking color for a Viper. I want stripes like that on mine really, really bad, but I'm worried about lowering the value of my car since it's all original right now :-\

Many years ago my first Muscle car was a 1970 split bumper, red with black stripes Z28 Camaro and it was one of my favorites...So I went with the same thing on the Viper...I don't think there will be a problem with resale unless somebody just has to have a stock car.....Here are a couple pics right out of the paint shop.I will take some better ones when I get the new wheels on......All original is nice but I was at a Rally in Fl. and there was 3 red rt/10's parked next to each other and I had to look at the license plates to see which one was mine.I decided then to be a little different..

WOW. That looks great with the Black stripes. Nice touch. You wont have a problem figuring out which one is yours at the shows now.

If you plan to sell the car then keep it as is... and never drive it.
If you plan to keep/enjoy the car, then do whatever you like... it's your car!
Life's too short to stress over it or worry about things like, "someday I might get $5k-$7k less for it", because the loss of enjoyment over the years is far greater.

I wouldn't do it. Cosmetics like paint/stripes are expensive and there's no easy way to turn it around with out spending more money. Tastes change, colors and combos I once thought were cool no longer are, and new looks have grown on me.It's not like a set of wheels that you can easily remove and sell. VYPR BYT has a good point - it's all about enjoying your car, hence that's why we all own them (I think). I'm all for people having freedom to do what they want with their cars, but just because you can, doesn't mean you should - if you're on the fence about it in any way. That being said you have a beautiful red ACR
Looks great! Even the toupee looks good. :)
James, car looks awesome with the stripes and wing.
