Hello all, this is my first Viper and first car with coilovers. Two questions I have. One, is the pic the stock coilovers for this car? Second question is, im wanting to lower the car a little in front, since the last owner raised it up to much for my liking. Im assuming you loosen the bottom ring nut and turn the upper ring counter clockwise to lower it? Thank you all for the help.

Yes those are the Koni adjustable shocks the car came with and that is the correct way to lower it.

Get yourself a nylon parts brush and some compressed air to clean the threads and collars before adjusting.

Nicknamed Koni "RATTLERS"

because if you go over whoop-dee-doos and get light, the springs can rattle in their perches.

OE from 1999 - 2000.5 ACRs. Great Shocks. Only Discontinued because too many complaints [and a couple buy-backs] when poser-owners complained.....

I think they fell great, tad stiff but its an ACR and was expecting that lol. Do you know if they can be rebuilt?

Do you know if they can be rebuilt?

Yes. Try TrueChoice in Hilliard, Ohio.

So one other question, I heard there is an ACR tool or people using a alan head tool. What would this tool be used for? I have a universal coilover tool, would this work?
