Introducing The Juggernaut, by Nth Moto. This is the second complete build we've done for Will (Junkie), in addition to his 2016 ACR-E TT which is still the world's fastest Viper ACR at 222.9 mph in the standing 1/2 mile. With these roll race and drag race events getting faster and faster, and the purpose of the ACR (affectionately known as Colossus) to be a no compromises street car we set out to build something that can be both well used but also put performance first in every regard. With that said this car is intended to run on Hot Rod Drag Week later this year so long as the event is still going to be held, so hopefully we'll get to have it out to stretch it's legs again soon.
We debuted the car at TX2K20 a few weeks back with the sole intent of entering the roll race, in which we were DQ'd in tech over the front tire width which was not clearly defined in the rules. Unfortunately between that and the unfortunate mistake that we'd made it through tech on this same tire before caused confusion over the rule writing and played into the misinterpretation, which we respected the ruling and decided to just run in the exhibition drag racing class anyways to get some time on the car. Now, for those that have raced cars at this level getting the torque converter, suspension, tire, and power curve to all play nicely right out of the box is a challenging thing and we're proud to say that the first ever 1/4 mile pass on the car resulted in an 8.02 @ 190mph. It then went back to back 7.70's after that, and then a 7.51 @ 197.9 on the fourth pass so far. We're just starting to tickle this combination, so this thing is going to be really, really fast. :)
Why is it in the Gen V section you ask? Well, because it's a Gen V engine stuffed into a Gen II chassis. The engine in the Juggernaut is a culmination of everything we've learned with our other Gen V builds and applied here, with the creative freedom to design a turbo system without as many chassis restrictions and with a focused intent on going fast. Which is great for our Gen V customers because this showcases the engine strength we're able to achieve as this is almost an identical combination of hard parts as what's in our big power Gen V's roaming around which is part of the reason they're able to rack up literally 10's of thousands of miles and abuse at 2000+ hp.
Enjoy the following teaser video and share with your friends and car enthusiasts in a time when everyone can use something to smile about! There will be a full feature film coming talking about more of the details on the car which will tell a lot more about the true design ideas and thought that went into this build. Make sure to watch this in 4k!

Very well done video! "But wait, there's more!" you say? I can't wait to see the full video. The Gen V motor sounds pretty darn good with all 10 cylinders coming out the back.

More indeed sir! It's a unique sound with the full aluminum 5" exhaust, true equal length headers, and a very unique cam profile for a turbo car as well as our latest iteration of Gen V CNC head port with titanium intake valves and inconel exhaust valves, and of course our billet intake manifold.
Here are some photos for you guys.

Off the trailer doing 7.5's @ 197????This thing will be very low 7's @ over 200 soon. Nasty build. Brings back memories of Big Red and Chads Bumblebee. Two of the nastiest Gen 2's from the past. Cant wait to see more of both Colossus and Juggernaut.

Sometimes I wonder if I'd be better off not knowing just how slow my car is compared to something like this. As it stands, my car would just be passing the 1/8th mile while this thing was crossing through the traps for the 1/4 mile. That's insane. I'd ask how much a build like this costs, but I'm probably better off not knowing. I'd be happy with just the header shields to be honest.

Despite being a huge Viper fan, I've never been much into the drag strip, but it's impossible not to be impressed with the stuff Nth can do. Absolutely incredible work - so cool.

Ah, Big Red. That car is still in a friends hands and is doing well. It's crazy to think that both of those cars were pretty wild for that time and did really incredible feats, and yet with today's technology it's become almost "normal" for stuff to make 1500-1600 WHP and accrue real world mileage. A great time to be an automotive enthusiast!

So I don't think anyone would be surprised to think/know that this is a very expensive build. Here's the thing though, running a 7.5 is without a doubt able to be done for far cheaper in other platforms, and even in a Viper itself. If the goal were to run only 7.50's then it could be done way easier or cheaper than what has been invested into this. Heck, the black TA2.0 we did a long while back going 7.80's is a far simpler build than this. But this car is built to go much faster/quicker, and more importantly to do so repeatedly at different track venues/conditions, and have consistency to go with it. When something goes wrong (and it will at this level) we have enough data recording that we should hopefully be able to identify why, and come up with a resolution based on that. Those aspects is where it gets expensive in motorsports - any form. Making a Hail Mary lap once can be done on a budget, but making a car able to run that Hail Mary pass repeatedly is a different ballgame.
Thanks for all the kind words folks, share it around and be sure to keep a watch out for the full video!

Here's an update for anyone that hasn't seen it - we got back out for another test date and made some significant improvements in very short order. We're a total of 7 full passes into this car so far and there is a tremendous amount of potential left to tap into.
This Gen V engine platform is just SO impressive to work with.
Enjoy!

No, it just needs some weight moved around and shock/spring/power tuning. There's really no reason to have bars on a car (in my opinion) on a car like this. Not to mention this car being IRS still, the function of a wheelie bar is a very interesting topic to begin with.

I don't think you have this tire Jack, perhaps you're thinking of the 325 ET Street R? That tire is FAR superior to the 345 Street SS Drag Radial, but shorter and narrower. This is a 315 Pro Radial, meaning a 30" tall, 15" wheel diameter tire. It won't go on a Gen V chassis without significant work.

Its really cool how much a gen 5 motor sounds identical to a gen 2 as soon as you give it the rearward exhaust length.

That is one hauling ass Viper..! Love it.
Someone needs snag this up and finish this basket case project. Use to be into drag racing only, but have switched to road racing a few years back, and lost interest in drags so this project has just sat. I would make for a nice and safe drag or 1/2 mile car. Its hard to see guys running close to and over 200 mph in the 1/2 mile with virtually no safety equiptment.
