Arizona Corvette Enthusiasts (ACE) will be holding an autocross at the Bondurant School of High Performance Driving on Saturday November 9. They have invited other sports car clubs & enthusiasts to participate. If anyone is interested please let me know via a post, PM, or email. Details:

8:00 am to 1:00 pm or maybe longer
The Bondurant autocross track will be used with possibly some added skidpad area
2 Bondurant instructors on site (for insurance purposes)
With 30 drivers the cost will be $100 per driver. If more drivers participate, the difference will be refunded or applied to the ACE website/forum server fund.
Payment will be accepted in person either prior to or at the event
Riders are okay if 18 years of age or older
Helmets are required by driver and rider (Bondurant has loaners available)
Drifting will be approved by the instructors if they feel the driver has control

Click here (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fErzGD5XK8E&feature=player_embedded) for a video that shows the Bondurant autocross course being run in a Z06.

We need more snakes at this event! So far there are only 2 Cobras and 2 Vipers. ProAutoSports will be racing on the Bondurant West Track that day, so as added entertainment you can stroll the pits and watch some races after the autocross event.

A rough count of participants as of 10/30:

Cobras - 2
Corvettes - 11
F-bodies - 7 (1967-2002 Camaros & Firebirds)
Lotus - 1
Miata - 1
Scion FRS - 1
Vipers - 2
VW TDI - 1
??? - 3

Lots of cars, loads of fun, and the Corvettes got politely smacked down at their own club event. Top honors went to CobraVern's FFR Cobra powered by a small block Ford, and second place went to Alex & Fred Zust's wicked Viper ACR.

Venom,
Thanks for the update. Glad to see that a viper placed second. Hopefully a viper will take a first next time.
