owned my viper for a little over a year and have absolutely loved it... always wanted a vintage C2 corvette and I just feel the time is right, my car was customized for me and draws more attention than it ever did stock, frankly a little overwhelming, thinking I want in the upper $20s but I might be off, 33k miles, fantastic running condition, BC coilovers, 3 piece wheels... also Gen 2 18" wheels, top, windows... am I crazy for wanting to do this and is my value good or out of line 41844418454184641847

You're not crazy, but the midyear Corvette won't drive like your Viper. I've had alot of 63-67 Corvettes including the 65 I have had since I was a teenager. Love them. In a perfect world you would have both. Let me know if you decide to go the Corvette route. I can find one for you, I'm sure. Good luck with your decision.

God almighty. Gorgeous Car. Price seems decent! Painted stripes or vinyl? Under clear or on top if painted? What year is the car?

Thank you, it's a 95, was perfect black but wanted this from day one, painted all disassembled... it's all PPG base coat with 5 coats of clear over all colors, took two days of applying color and masking stripes and then clear... took a best of paint last week

It is beautiful... don't sell!!!! Build out your stable with this as your star stud!!!
My wife wanted me to sell her Challenger SRT8 to make room for my Viper. We have 4 cars and each has a purpose so HELL NO I won't sell her Challenger!!!

No!, DON'T sell it. You'll regret letting it go for sure; Not for C2.... Seriously, just park it for a while and give it more thought. Your G1 is monster while the C2 is a cool car, worlds apart.

You're idea is funny to me because that's exactly what I want / what I've been planning to do as well. I wanted to get the Viper first and ultimately want to sell it buy a C2 coupe.

Now I'm second guessing... I love my Viper but always wanted the right C2 ( though I want a convertible) and feel this is the right time to purchase a C2, I know I'm giving up performance but that's not important to me now in my 50s, I drive my cars all the time though not long far drives I love taking them out, I'm always worried about something happening to my Viper that I can't fix because of lack or available parts, I feel if even my windshield breaks I will be without my car for months as I've heard the stories of just that happening, gonna settle on a decision this weekend after driving a few Vettes

Don't 2nd guess your self. I've been looking for a while now. I would definitely trade one of my
Vipers for a C2. That is my ultimate dream car. Good Luck in your search...

Your Viper is gorgeous and Arizona is the perfect climate to enjoy it. I have had a number of C2 coupes and convertibles including a 62, 63, 64, 66, and two 67's. I suppose they look interesting if you've never had one but in my opinion they do not hold a candle to the Viper. Once the 96 GTS arrived, I lost interest in Corvettes. When the 2019 ZR1 came out, I became interested again but I'd much rather have a Gen 2 Viper and $100K cash in my pocket instead of a C7 ZR1. I'm already tired of looking at the C8 and they are not even on the street yet. To each his own:)

Keep the Viper if you only want twenty something for it and add a C2 to the stable to keep it company

I’m surprised you only want 22 K or so. What am I missing? Gotta be worth more that that!

Not $22k... high $20s, had it at a show last week and got a $28k offer, hard time pulling the trigger

If you sell the number should start with a 3

While I think you should do what makes you happy, you have a really good looking Viper there. If there was any way to keep it as been mentioned, I would agree with that
If you do sell it, what quality C2 can you expect for the same $ ? Just asking because I don’t know the Vette market at all

The least expensive midyear, 63-67, Corvette would be a non original motor 64. They can be had in the mid 30's. Nice 65-67 convertibles with original motors are 50-70. Fuelies and big blocks command the big dollars.
I only paid $1,500 for my 65 327/350 but that was in 1971.

Beautiful Vette... Thanks again to all, I'm not expecting to purchase a C2 for that kind of money, looking to spend in the $50k range, have my eye on a few... In that range. I have a current buyer for my Viper at $28k but I am having a hard time pulling the trigger, I do love the car l... it's one of the best looking "custom" vipers out there... ok I might be a little biased" but I still think it is ;-) and a joy to drive but I do eventually want a C2 vert, the prices are creeping up and feel this might be the right time and as I get older performance gets less important. I can't afford both, also have a Harley street glide and my wife has a Tahoe that she wants to rid for another C5 vert so no room in garage as well otherwise I would have both.

Paul, I have to agree with ACRSNK...your '65 is a BEAUTY !! I drove a friend's '65 quite a few times in1965...beautiful, fun, and fast. The thing that saved our lives in those days were the hard compound, skinny stock tires which allowed one to lay a long patch of rubber without achieving a whole lot of speed. :)

Thanks Steve. This Vette was actually my daily driver back in the early 70's in the Boston suburbs. I drove it to Boston College every morning through snow and rain and on Bias Ply tires. It did fine. Drives alot better now on radials and leads a more charmed life after a frame off resto I did in the 90's. Still drive it alot though. It never gets old, even if we do.
