I'm working on my own design for ACR-E style diffuser for Gen3/4. Two stainless steel outer blades are from eBay vendor, stock copies. I'm having a difficult time sourcing HDPE here in Kuwait for the extension strakes. I might make them out of aluminum or polycarbonate until I can get a suitable material. I imagine polycarbonate and even ABS will shatter/crack if I hit something.
Mock up.

I did this, added outside poly (25% larger, factory shape) mounted to aluminum angle 1x1; worked out good. Then I enclosed my rear wheel wells out to the rims. with a small lexan angle (1/2"x1/2") on the outside to add strength. I may remake it all with CF some day, but for now I am still testing. Awesome. Your link takes me to a page, is there a specific section your project is posted? You and I do a lot of the same things to our cars

Yes, I have a 2 Bedrm apartment out here. The living room doubles as my workshop. Spare room is my storage. My home away from home.

I need to remember the belly pan is upside down out of convenience for mock up.
Kuwait has an industrial district, you can find just about anyone that can do anything to any material out there. Had an aluminum manufacturing shop with a beautiful hydraulic brake bend my edges 90 degrees for the extended strakes.

Yes, Doug Shelby has a Gen5 diffuser kit. It might work on a Gen3/4 but I think the inside 4 strakes will be shallower due to the center vent on the Gen5.
The new riv-nut tool arrived today. I still need to source some poly board to make my strakes. I have two rough drafts.

Is this for a track only car? Looks like an effective design, but I'd be afraid to street drive that.

I am tracking this car. The roads out here are horrible so I won’t be running the strakes on the street. As is, the standard 4 blades rub on speed bumps and driveway entrances.

It's not the strakes that are too low it's the roads that are too high, ask those Kuwaitis to lower the roads for you, not like they don't have the money to do that :)

That gives me an idea. You could have the strakes on slots, so they could articulate with varying road conditions, much like the ground effects f1 cars of the early 80's. They would just become a wear item.

I have thought of this. To split the strake in the middle and have the rear half pivot. It would still be functional on the track but also have some give on the street. Right now more work than I want to deal with. I'm going to test drive it on the street once it's done and assess the risk.

There is a GTS-R owner out here that street drives his car. I'll see how his strakes look next time I meet up with him.

At a standstill waiting for materials and tools again. Went to the shop yesterday and today to install diffuser blades onto my friends Gen5, it's a huge pia if using the Gen3/4 style blades.

That's about 8 hours of measuring, centering, and offsetting for to the shape of the blades. No more Gen5 installs.
VOA must have a default, 180 degree load photos. ALL my photos upload upside down.

while I was under the car I decided to swap in the poly trans mount. Found out the original one had separated so glad I finally got around to it.
Test fit of the extended diffuser with the belly pan.

Failed to source any materials sufficient for diffuser strakes. I ordered a set of Doug Shelby's extended strakes for a Gen5. Theres a little bit of mis-match on the back end but it'll work.

I think I'll get to break away for a few weeks in November. 2 on emergency leave and 2 resignations to my 6 person team. If I don't get another team member back in time I don't travel.
