For the historians amongst us that have access to the production information for our cars, has anyone ever come across a data field showing the paint code for the 1-of-1 cars? It would be interesting (and potentially valuable 10-20 years from now) if we could somehow identify the paint colors that related to each VIN. If not, I can imagine a BJ sale 20 years later and buyers wondering if the paint is factory or not.
What would be even better is if someone with a connection to the former concierge folks could inquire about how we might obtain a single photo of each 1-of-1 car from the assembly line.
We know that each of the 1-of-1 cars were photographed and I have to imagine that the photos are the creative property of FCA and thus they could share this if they were so inclined. By allowing an outside organization like our club to serve as the historian, FCA can ensure that the information is maintained for posterity and not have to worry about it themselves. Moreover, if there is any time to do it, it's not 20 years from now when nobody can recollect where the information is or how to locate it. The time to act is now.
