Hi All,
So excited to have finally pulled the trigger on Gen V Viper!!!! and looking forward to joining VOA. Had a great discussion with Matt from the NY/CT region the other night and eager to get involved in some track and social events.
My brother in-law owns a dealership (Main Motorcar) and together we found a '13 Launch Edition #102 in Vegas. We are waiting on the close of the Scottsdale auctions as the carrier (Reliable) is there and will hit Vegas to pickup my car with it's shipment coming east. After she arrives, then into winter hibernation until late spring when we finally thaw out. The blue beast has a little over 8K miles and both R28 and R29 have passed. :dancingman:
I am going to go stir crazy waiting for spring.
Any other upstate NYers here?

Congrats Blue Venom , you will love the Launch Edition, but waiting could make it a long Winter of Discontent,ha. Ah, but the rite of Spring will never be more beautiful!

Great speaking to you Dan!

Let’s all hope a pray that we have an early Spring this year. Can’t wait to see it in person this year.

I’m here for any help I can offer in the mean time.

I would check on the rear defroster. the first time it is turned out windows have blown out. known issue under warranty.

Glad to have you aboard

Good post Bruce, and trying to remember if the rear defroster is a warranty issue or a Technical Service Bulletin. Seem to remember the fix was fairly simple, but maybe Mark Jorgensen will chime in if he is lurking this weekend, ha. I will try to see if my aged cerebellum is functioning on Monday and will check if synapses are on full song?

Hey Bruce,
Thank you for the heads up... I have been combing the forum for known issues and I do recall seeing that one. I might have my brother in-law check that one out at the dealership before I take possession. Without a doubt it is going to be a very long winter but my wife and I are already planning to be at the dealership to see the blue beauty roll out of the truck. I will upload videos/pictures of the event. I'm hoping that to be late January, early February.
Thank you to others on the forum for the very nice welcome!!!
Dan

Just got the call from my brother in-law and the car is on a carrier in Chicago and it will be at his dealership either tomorrow or Thursday. I am hoping to post some videos of the viper coming off the truck!!! So excited!!!

Always an exciting feeling with anticipation on delivery of a new toy! Look forward to seeing some pictures. I had #29 Launch Edition and loved that car. Such a classic, iconic color combo. Be prepared though, those wheels are tough to keep looking sharp. That polished look really shows brake dust easily. Welcome to the VOA and Congrats.

Congrats on the beast. She looks great. Maybe I’ll see you at an event with the ny/ct gang this year.
