GTS R Commemorative Edition Spec

Hi all,

First and foremost, Merry Christmas to you and yours! This past September I got back behind the wheel of a Viper (Gen V GTS-R) after having 3 different gen 2s and a 2 year hiatus. It’s a really cool slice of automotive history to claim ownership of - very happy.

I used the search feature and didn’t come up with much unfortunately but I was wondering if all of the final edition GTS-Rs are spec’d the same. I’m guessing dealers got allocations but were they given any leeway in how they were configured? I think the only real options are int/ext carbon, carbon or aluminum x-brace, 18-speaker HK system, etc. The window sticker shows the GTS-R as a GTC then optioned from there. From what I’ve gathered on the internet, it seems all of them have exterior carbon, don’t have interior carbon, don’t have the carbon x-brace, or the 18-speaker H/K sound system. This is purely a curiosity question - none of these elements would affect my enjoyment of the car - just like knowing about the car.

There were 100 numbered GTSRs built and all were spec’d exactly the same from what I know.

I may have a nit-pick slightly different answer: While All of the G5 100 GTS-Rs were OE-spec the same, I vaguely recall that a very few savvy dealers were able to get rare "1 of 1" type inclusions to the OE-Spec.

Sorry to be vague, but after talking to several owners I remember those few mentions. Sorry for the 'rumor'

Would any of the 1 of 1’s be a numbered GTSR then? I have a 2016 with the GTSR spec but have red seats and 18 speakers - not a numbered car.

The GTS-Rs were numbered and were 2017 model year.

SE GTS-R's say GTS-R on the side and are all numbered 1-100. Only made in 2017.

Yep that’s what I thought.

We just finished a twin turbo build on on of the SE GTS-R's. While some purists may not love it, I think it's just about the ultimate expression of the pinnacle of Viper.
