Yup, you read it right. It was a matter of time before this happens.
Started the car up, a few minutes into idling, and a nice fountain of coolant!

Can this hose be sourced everywhere?

Where does that hose go? I can help get one to you, I'm not far in +965. You can probably just use a section of regular coolant hose that fits.

May be time to consider going to all new silicone hoses...5 radiator hoses and 5 "heater"hoses. Check out the Snake-Oyl website.

Exactly! Not Likely that only 1 hose of 10 rotted in past 25 years.....

Are the pics from the 6,200 car? Can you very that is the actual mileage? Is it just me or does that hose and engine bay look really rough for that mileage? Bahrain weather tough on cars?

Well, genuine 8000 miles now.
This car has spent all it's life in storage. When I first got it, it had 5k miles on it only.
I have driven her 3000 miles since 2014.

I feel the same, for such low milage engine bay looks very rough, wondering whats causing the color flaking on the valve covers?

Amazing that the previous owner took such poor care of a gem. Thank you for being the caretaker that brings it back to life!

I cannot confirm exactly how the previous owner stored and used the car. All I know is that he is an old businessman and his kids would drive the car from time to time .

Bahrain's weather is pleasant 4 months of the year with temps between 15C and 25C
The rest of the year its hot, humid and dusty with temps reaching 55C

Not sure, which parts are compromised now.... if it is only the hose(s), I'd say no need to replace thermostat, sensor and waterpump (hence no new intake gaskets needed either). For the plugs, I'd say stay with the OEM ones (Champions), also most likely cheaper than the offered Bosch plug.

Just my 2 cents....

I mentioned before I'm in your area. I can probably get everything to me in Kuwait for reduced shipping. Then we just need to figure how to get it from Kuwait to Bahrain. I think January my group is planning a trip to the BIC.

OK So I went ahead and ordered the complete silicone radiator hose set along with the heater hose set.
Let's see what happens.

Thank you so much habibi for your help.
It was just a matter of trying to source the parts and getting opinions from members on more clarifications on what I may need to look out for.

Are you joining the GulfRun event ? Hope to see you there.

All good brother. I did see I just missed a Gulf Run recently. My neighbor has a Porsche GT4 that just returned last week. If I knew I would go. I will research for the next time.
