" It is designed to fit with the factory hard and soft tops. "

Are you sure about that? I've always read that the Auto Form rollbar for the RT/10 only accommodates an Auto Form hard top. The Auto Form site states "The Autoform Roadster Rollbar is available for Viper Roadsters with the canvas top or the Autoform Hardtop." So, question: Did you have this installed in your RT/10 and were you able to utilize the factory hard top? If so, did you have to modify anything to make the factory hard top work or was it simply plug-n-play?

Did you lose any seat travel with the roll bar installed? I'm considering the roll bar for my RT/10.

Thanks,
Tony

Hi Tony!
This came installed on my car. No modifications were needed for the factory hardtop to fit. It reduces seat travel by 1-2" I would estimate. There are some holes than need to be made to get it bolted in. I couldn't tell which holes were factory or made for the install. Two in the floor were definitely drilled for the install, but the others I am not sure about. It can be installed in a day. If you don't want mine, I am sure Steve at Autoform can ship you one. He's fantastic. It's a SOLID piece of kit. Let me know if you have any other questions about it.

P.S. I may be able to ship it, It's pretty hefty though.

I don't plan on tracking the RT/10 and I miss the storage box. Also, I plan to get one of those Mach 7 flush hardtops. Thanks for the comment :).

Thanks Aaron. Are you sure you don't have an AutoForm top? Difficult to tell from the photo but it looks like an Auto Form top. There's just no way my factory hard top is going to clear the top of that roll bar. You are the exception if it's an OEM hard top. Either way, it's a nice roll bar and well made. Worth it at that price for sure. The install I'm not worried about.

Yeah, the shipping is going to be killer. I'd like to get my hands on one but not quite there yet. It seems that every time this roll bar is for sale it's never the right time for me, lol. I will pass your ad on to our members around here. I'd be surprised if you don't find a buyer in your area though, plenty of track rats down there.

Hi Tony,
It's a factory top. I had to replace the headliner and I found the inspection stickers from 2001. Thanks for passing on the ad :). I am trying to up my Viper fund for new wheels/tires. I have a fire suppressor tank that is next to come out. I have to figure out how to remove it without blowing myself up. Happy Vipering!
