QuickJack 7000SLX

Has anyone used the 7000SLX QuickJacks for their GenV? Were there any issues, such as clearance getting it under the car? I may be wrong, but from what I understand this one should work for the GenV's. I understand it's probably overkill since the GenV is very light but I may use it on other vehicles.

I’ve used the 5000 on my Gen 3. Works great.

I have the 7000 and it is about half an inch too high. I took a couple of 2x8 planks and cut the edge at an angle. I then drive the front tires up onto the planks and then the jack works perfect.

I bought the 7000 and have yet to set it up. The specs on their website seem to be fine for a stock gen V. Will report once I test it this weekend

It will fit under the car however the little jacking points are what the jack will not get under, in the front.

I have the 5000. It works but is actually pretty damn heavy to position and move around. I imagine the 7000 is heavier. It takes longer to set up than I would like. The two side are supposed to be parallel within 2 inches of each other. Getting this right is a pain while trying to also align with the Viper's jacking points. On my ACR set to track height the standard rubber blocks that come with the 5000 did not fit, they were too tall. They sent me the blocks from a 3000 and they work better.

I assume you also want to use this 7000-series to lift other, heavier cars than the Viper, yes? If no, don't buy it unless you like building ramps. I don't.

Unless the triangle lift points are hanging halfway off the blocks, my front tires will usually bind on the Quickjack. This is generally fine, as I don't use it for changing wheels. Just something to know.

I loathe the hydraulic hose placement on the QJ. They should have put one of the quick disconnects right at the cylinder. Having that hose and fitting hanging off the same end as the QJ's wheels are guarantee it will ALWAYS be in the way, and it will also loosen itself during repeated operation ensuring you end up with a puddle of ATF on the floor of the driver's side. One day I'll get off my butt and put a swivel fitting here, but I've not bothered yet.

I've got the 5000 and it works great. I will say they are not impervious to breaking and mine did. QJ was very helpful and sent me new couplers, however, mine shot ATF across the garage and made quite the mess not to mention almost tipped my car off one side. My word of advice is take care of it like your car and maintain it or it can break.

I had the intention of building ramps to use my 7000 series but actually I didn't have any issues getting it under the lift points or binding with the front tires. My GTS is stock height though, so I'm not sure if that makes any difference.

Stock height would make a big difference. The 5000 fits under my stock ride height GTS fine, not so much under my track height ACR.

The rubber blocks that come with it are small and not as stable as they could be ..

These are much better and are a direct/better fit
