In this months issue of road and track they listed the 51 coolest cars ever. They included vintage cars, new cars, race cars and most importantly the viper. They point out the first gen specifically. They say lutz got a car that had no abs, traction control, or roof. It's hard to imagine there ever being a car like the first gen built again. It is car that comes to mind when I think viper. Don't get me wrong i envy the gen 2 coupes and gen 4 acr's but they don't have the same appeal to me as the original. The first gens have got the perfect combination of everything that doesn't make sense and uses that mixture to be one of the coolest cars of all time. It has been a car I lusted for since it paced the Indy 500 in both roadster and then a few years later as the coupe.
