My car is at the shop now to have Suntek PPF applied to the roof. My question is has anyone had their entire roof assembly wrapped seamlessly with one piece of ppf?

The guys at the shop didn't think it could be done.

Unless they use some kind of super wide roll, it will have a seam right above the duct for the rear brakes. It's not too noticeable, and if your car is white, it'll be almost invisible.

I have been told there is a new film that is wide enough to cover the Viper's hood in one piece. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the product.

Like George said, I think someone posted here or on FB that a maker was in process, or has already made a 1 pc film for the hood. If it's avail now I do not think so.

Soon after the shop wrapped my hood, bumper and side sills, they notified me Suntek made or was in the process of making a pre-cut Gen V hood piece, although never dug in to verify as my car was already wrapped. My car is black and the seem on the hood is much more noticeable than I prefer, so I know a seem on the roof will most likely be easily spotted as well.

I appreciate the input.

That is a game changer! AND... it can be tinted with automotive paint. Who wants to be my first Northern CA victim? I'll spray this stuff all day!

I just spoke to a Opti-coat installer. He asked about being trained to do Opti-Shield but they are only allowing paint shops with paint booths and heating booths.

By the way, he told me that Lumar (spelling?) makes a 72" wide film now but he still isn't sure it would be wide enough for the Viper given waste.
