After talking with Roy and Herb and Dick and Brian, I am happy to alert owners of "Show Car" quality heavily modded Vipers to possibly join the limited cross section of Vipers at the Saturday show above:

Thinking of Xtreme Aero cars? Calvo, Nth Moto, etc 1000++ HP Beasts? [ Dolphins need not apply.]

Herb's words were:

'We'd like to see and show the best of what owners have done to our factory cars....where Stock was just the starting place.'

Whatcha Got? Dont be bashful.....[if you own one of these, you probably are not!]

RSVP to me and / or Brian as noted above. Description + 2-3 pix please? JonB@PartsRack.com.

Just found out today that the 1998 Viper GT2 #002 cannot attend. The vehicle was to be brought with the Calvo General Lee by Calvo Motorsports. I was informed today that the General Lee's engine is still not rebuilt. Since the General Lee is not ready for the Heritage Display, Calvo Motorsports will not be at Hilton Head and cannot bring the GT2. I know this is a big disappointment for all those that expressed the interest to see the Texans.

Sorry folks! The rare opportunity to see a GT2 will have to wait. Wishing Calvo Motorsports the best of luck with the extensive engine rebuild and the other client vehicles waiting their turn for their upgrade.

Kinda of cool to see the 1949 Bug in the picture as that is one super rare Beetle. We had one in Germany in the 60s and dad was sorry we did not import it back to the US since , at the time, there were only 2 in the Country. Apparently not much changed over the years and a 49 supposedly is still extremely rare in the United States. Crazy car, since to stop one had to pump the brakes --- and that was normal ,ha!
