Considering BC’s for my 98 GTS. Anyone running them for a few years that can give some feedback? I have stock set up with lowering caps currently. Shocks are all leaky so thinking it may be better to upgrade.

Thanks all

Just installed a set about a month or so ago on my 2000 GTS. Out of the box they lowered the car 1/2" up front and 1" at the rear. Looks much better now.....far less wheel gap. That said, speed bumps and steep driveways are cause for concern now!

Currently I have them all set at the mid-point of adjustment (15 clicks of 30) and I find the ride much improved over the stock Konis. Handling is better as well. Turn-in seems quicker with less roll. Ride is firm but not harsh at this setting. I have been to the track with the new setup and there is a noticeable improvement.

Install is VERY easy. Two bolts per corner. Nothing else had to come apart.

For the price I think they're well worth it!

I've had mine since 2012. They have been great performers, and a worth upgrade. Not only do you lose a ton of weight, but the ride height is easily adjustable, as well as rebound dampening. For the price, they are a really good option. After about 6 months , I did have to readjust my ride height, as the springs sagged a bit. I haven't touched them since. Just remember, to get an alignment after installation due to the geometry changes brought on by lowering.

I went with the stock BC rates.... I believe they're 10K Front and 12K rear

I had some BC racing coilovers on my old BMW M3. I put about 35k miles on them before the driver rear shock blew out. I called BC directly and they said the shocks are rebuildable, but they don't rebuild them nor recommend it. I then tried to order a new shock and they told me they couldn't sell just one shock. I was already planning on selling the car and already had a buyer lined up. I don't know what he ever did about.

I was very happy with them especially for the $1k they cost. But customer support seemed to be lacking some.

Dean,

10K and 12K is correct. The unit is is kg/mm; that translates to 560 lb/in and 672 lb/in.

I was looking into getting these as well to replace my ancient stock stuff. Where's the best place to grab them?

I bought mine direct from BC. Was the best price, free shipping and I had them in about 5 days.

I've had mine 4 weeks. Same spring rates as mentioned above (almost the same as the SRT) and LOVE THEM. installed as they came. Looks amazing. SLIGHT RUB during hard cornering, raised rear .5" and issue went away. Also set as 15 clicks until I get it corner balanced and get some track time in.

Did I mention I love them?

Then those are pretty good rates.

I have a set on 2 cars. I prefer Motons or the KWv3's more but for the price the BC's are a good buy over stock.

I sourced mine from RSI, great price and service. On their website for $1225 for Gen 3..

I think the standard rear springs they supply for the Gen 2 are the 180-12. It was recommended that I use the 180-14 but BC shipped them with the 12s. So they sent me a set of 14s. Twice, as their internal communication at BC is not that great.

I tried the 14s for maybe 20 miles and thought they were way too stiff so I put the 12s on. Which I will be sticking with.

So, I have two sets of standard springs 180-14 that I don't need. One set was used for 20 miles and still looks brand new, and the other set is unused and brand new. If someone wants them they can be had dirt cheap.

I have a brand new set in a box never opened. Was going to put them on my 99 ACR, but changed my mind. Shoot me a PM if you are interested.
