Hi. I'm doing some Viper research and I was hoping someone could share pics or help. We are having a fit issue with floor mats for a 93 Viper. The pattern is listed for 92-2002 but they are too long and the seat is in the way in a 1993 SRT10. Do you know if there is any difference in the floor space/size between the years? We are curious if the seats/seat rails were different in the 92/93 vs. 98+.

Thanks.

No Gen 1 or 2 Vipers EVER were shipped with factory floor mats. Floor pans are all the same.

If it helps. I bought some floormats for my 98. They are slightly to long IMHO. It fits but would fit much better if it was a couple inches shorter. Goes well past the pedals so I have to watch out for bunching it up when I get in and out of the car.

The mats in my 96 RT/10 are short. They slide around and push up towards the peddles. I wish I could find a better set also.

Thanks for the feedback. The problem we are having are with some Lloyd Mats that we sell and some customers are having issues with the fit, mainly a guy with 93 Viper. He says they are way too long and he would have to remove his seats for them to fit. This is the pattern. Do you all think it is too long? We have sold lots of them without an issue, mostly to owners with 95+ cars. This customer is saying the Gen 1 is different. Were the seats/seat rails different?

If the floors are all the same we would love to have another pattern made that will make everyone happy with some of these issues. :) Anyone game for making a paper pattern to send to us?

I have Lloyd Mats in my Gen ll. They do not slide around or bunch up. I'm not using anything to pin them down either.

Dean, I was saving the mats that came with my '02 Viper when I bought it from the original owner. Thought they came with the car. Just wanted to double check. No mats were ever shipped with new Vipers?

Never for '92-'02. After that, I can't say for sure. I think the Nor-Cal club was the first with embroidered floor mats for sale.

That's what I have as well. On 2 occasions they have bunched up and actually caused interference with my throttle pedal.

Does the seat have adjustment forward and back? If not does it have a 2in lowering kit installed? Would that affect mat fitment, I am sure one of the tall guys will chime in lol.

98RedGTS, do you think that is because they are too long or were not held down? Lloyd's now ships all driver's side mats with 2 grommet holes and sends their fasteners to secure to the floor.

The customer with the 93 that had the problem said his seats were all the way back and they still would not fit. He would have to remove his seats for them to fit is what he told us. He says his car is bone stock. It just made me wonder if the early models had different seats that made the rails different or something.

Here is the picture he sent us. I don't think it looks like he pushed it as far under the dash as possible. I can't even see the Viper logo. Anyway, they are on the way back to us. Maybe someone with a 92/93 would like to try them out for us ? :) If they work we'll make you a good deal for some nice installed pics. 38439

Also a picture of his "factory" mats vs. what we sent him.

If anyone has measurements from the seat rail to the pedal or something that might help see if there are any differences to explain this short vs. long problem. ?

Can’t help you with 93 fitment, but if you want 02 pics/fitment let me know.

My mats look like the one in the right of your picture. I'd say it is a bit to long. It doesn't have any anchors other than just the spikes on the bottom of the mat itself.
