I replaced plugs and wires recently.
One of the plugs had what appeared to be (and smelled like) a slight amount of oil on it. Not dripping, but definitely a bit wet.
Any idea what could be causing it? The wet plug was in cylinder #2.
Thanks!

You may have worn valve guides where oil is seeping by into the cylinder. Could also be worn cylinder rings. Have you done a leak down test on it?

Also possible that one of the seals on that cyl. got dislodged.

Thanks - I have not done a leak down test.
The car is only at 8,000 miles - is seeing this common for this age?

With 8K miles, it shouldn't be. Do you do a lot of hard braking? #2 Cylinder is the first up front on the passenger side. I would say have a leak down test done. It will tell you a lot about each cylinder and then you go from there. Leak down test is fairly easy and cheap to do. If the results come back good, then you may have a simple issue.
