Rear view mirror lights will not go off please help Already disconnected battery

Can someone please help? Went for a drive today and when I got home the rear view mirror lights are not turning off. Both doors are shut completely. The trunk is also shut completely. I tried the trick of disconnecting the battery, waiting 10 minutes, reconnecting the battery, then turning the ignition on and off. Still, the rear view mirror lights are ON. I checked the lights as well, the switches are in the off position. I don't know what to do. Does anyone have a solution, please?

And yes I was playing with the dimmer switch while I was driving. But I've put it back in the original position, and even tried putting it to off. No dice. Any help is greatly appreciated.

EDIT: Nevermind, solved. Posted below.

Nevermind. I turned the HEADLIGHTS on, THEN adjusted the dimmer switch from off to on, then to back to off, then turned the headlights off, and that for some reason actually worked. Not sure why that is. But solution found.
