Sluggish low end DBW throttle response

On an 08 is there anything that can be done about the sluggish (delayed) DBW throttle response at lower RPMs? I already have a venom pcm (not sure if that one tunes the throttle table or not)

Venom PCM is the best, usual fix.

Send your PCM to Prefix and see if they will flash it. While the Venom controller improves throttle response the Prefix flash should help a lot.

Out of curiosity has anybody tried to reset their throttle position sensor by restricting pedal travel during the reset, such as:

I've found a few threads where people say it improves a gen 4 throttle response. Theoretically I could see why it could possibly work ... I've just been having a run of bad luck lately so am chicken to try it, lol

I would not recommend that approach...I know people have done it in the past, but my understanding was that the effect was only temporary due to the computer adapting to the change and reverting back to what it was originally. These cars are extremely sensitive to messing with anything related to airflow through those throttle bodies...if anything is even slightly out of spec, the PCM goes into limp mode, and in my experience, that limp mode has been just as dangerous as if the damn things had stuck open which is what the limp mode was designed to protect against.

The Arrow reflash of the Mopar PCM is your best option, but keep in mind that some of the sluggish response is mechanical in nature. The stock clutch/flywheel combo is 60+ pounds, and is the primary contributor to the car taking what seems like forever to rev off idle. When I switched to a lighter weight clutch/flywheel (38 pounds), the throttle response was drastically improved. That said, it was NOT a cheap option, even with the labor to R&R being all mine.

My 04 (72,000 miles) started missing under heavy load (foot). Waited till dark in garage, lifted hood, checked for blue light show from plug wires and found it on drivers side bank. Changed plug wires, problem seems solved. Now runs like a scalded cat :cool:

Have the throttle relearn done if you have not, even if you had it done before try it again.
