Ride Along

Vipers have always been my dream car, however I have never been able to drive one or even ride in one. I recently found that they're more affordable than I thought so I plan on getting one in the future. I'm not currently in the market for buying so I wouldn't ask to drive one (as much as I'd like to) but, I'd like to ride in one to get an idea of how they ride and what it's like. So I'm wondering if there's any kind soul who would be willing to let me ride along with them in their Viper some weekend. I live in rural Minnesota so I'm aware I'll have to travel a decent distance and am willing to do so.

That sounds like a fantastic offer honestly. Gens 3/4 are my favorite which is why I posted it here but I'd definitely like to see each one up close and personal if possible. I shouldn't have too much trouble scheduling time for a weekend so I will definitely message you when I have a time frame for it, and I'll look into that other thread now too.

Back in 1993, there were virtually NO Vipers to ride in, or sit in.......or even SEE!

Using the Car/Driver Viper Forum, I offered thru {Dodge Marketing} the opportunity to go for a ride at PIR-Portland, 3 laps at speed for a suggested donation of $200 donation to Childrens Hospital.

SEVERAL buyers came from as far away as Atlanta and JAPAN! The Japaneses man hired a translator. Brought his teen-son too. Tried to buy MY VIPER out from under me!!! I coulda made a killing, he is frighteningly wealthy. He bought a 1993 Rare BLACK here, just 3weeks later.... and brought his best friend to buy my 81 Delorean !!!

When I shipped the 93 to Kyoto for him, I filled the trunk with: 2500 GOLF BALLS !!!

I'm in Thief River Falls which is Northwest MN but like I said I'm willing to travel. Where in MN is the club meeting? Do you think someone there would give me a ride?

JonB, why did you bring up Central Wisconsin specifically? I only ask because reading this topic I have a very similar dream of actually getting to sit in one of these cars and of course one day own one myself but baby steps. I have been lurking these forums a little and checking out which dealerships nearby have Vipers to get that dream started by getting in one of these cars. I'm from central Wisconsin myself so that seemed like such a coincidence that you mentioned it. I think in my lifetime I have seen only 4 Vipers in my travels around the state!

If you make it to southern coastal Oregon, I’d be very happy to take you for a spirited spin in my 2005 Yellow SRT-10 Roadster. It’s been my dream car my whole life, and she’s an absolute beauty. So much fun to drive and cruise in.

Although, the Viper community is so tight, I don’t think you’re going to have a problem finding someone closer to you that will oblige very enthusiastically. Us viper guys sure do love to share our beasts with people that appreciate them.

Very central, right smack dab in the middle in the Wisconsin Rapids area. I sometimes get up towards the Minneapolis area visiting friends around St. Croix Falls but Minneapolis is roughly 3 hours away from me. In the grand scheme of things though that really isn't that far away for a day trip or perhaps attending the same car show in the western/central Wisconsin area.
