ACR wheels

What is the factory finish on the stock ACR wheels suppose to be. I saw a set that was a gloss black, and another set that was a black matt finish.

Gloss, but not uncommon to get them re-done. As long as they aren't bent.........................

In addition to the ACR gloss black sidewinder 1s could also be had in a polished finish. This was found on the copperhead cars. I have a second set that was polished but now has a painted black center with just the polished lip. So the matte black could have also been a polished version not off an ACR.

...and, my second favorite ACR wheel...RED introduced in 2010, though the finish was poorly done and easily flaked off. Still, they add a little bling to our red 2003 SRT-10.

In contrast, the black wheels have held up quite nicely on our 2010 ACR. The gloss is really not bad...and, is quickly toned down by brake dust if the car is "driven correctly". :)

Are they clean. I just sold a 100 mile used set. Dusty they look matte. clean they look very very shiny.

Mine were ACR wheels in silver, the finish was painted on. I had them stripped and powder coated semi-gloss black. The black looks good on a burgundy car.

What wheels would look best on a yellow with silver stripe coupe, the stock polished 5 spoke, or a set of ACR wheels in gloss black. I am torn between the look of the two and need some opinions.

If I had black stripes, I would not think twice about the black ACR wheels, but I have silver stripes and think it black wheels might be too much colors going on.

Figured that...so, I will add that factory polished aluminum wheels do look good on our race yellow 2001 GTS...even with its painted blue stripes.

Having the race yellow with silver stripes on my 06, I definitely like the polished rims better. Just works with the colors. Black doesn’t look quite right.
