Bruce, so many guys on here are tacking with various tires. Why care for Corsa so much? Did you try the Toyo R888R? Hoosier? Michelin PSS? Wouldn't hold my breath for a single tire brand.

I don't trailer the car so I need one set of tires to do long distance drives for pleasure and the odd track day. That rules out the R888R because their drone would drive me crazy and of course Hoosiers are track only and I'd need to drive on them to get to the track. The Michelin PSS is a very fine street tire but not up to track use like the Corsas...I'm sure the fronts would overheat quickly. Corsa happens to do it all. If I can't get them I will have to use something else...but for now I wait, and wait, and....

I'm with Bruce on this also.. I really like the Corsa Tires! We've been hearing they'll be hear soon for almost 6 months. Hope they get in stock soon!

I received an email from Tire Rack concerning the front corsas.

They said it would be at least until May until they get the fronts. He also said the chances of that happening are slim to none.

I would think TireRack would have more pull with Pirelli than any number of us. We should ask Luke if they have pushed Pirelli at all on Viper tires.

At the suggestion of ViperGeorge, My street set up it is running Michelin PS2s in the front 295/30/18. MPSS in the rear 345/30/19. I have used these on the track, and was pleasantly surprised on their grip and wear characteristics. In addition to this combination, I have used R 888r, Hoosiers, and PZero Corsas on the track. I would run the above set up before I run PZeros Corsas. Maybe George can chime in. He has use this set up for one lap of America during the last several years. This could be another option for you while you wait to see if the Sport Cup 2 work out for people.

I had the Corsas on my 2015 TA 2.0 from the factory. While they felt good on the track they simply did not last. One day and they were shot. LuvSpeed and I were at Hastings last year with another friend in a TA 2.0 and he chunked two sets of front Corsas in two days. In my experience they simply do not hold up. I originally switched to PZeros for One Lap as the Corsas, Pilot Cups, and Kumhos are not legal for One Lap. Driving in heavy rain in my 2.0 the PZeros scared the crap out of me over the road. I then switched to the PS2s in front and the PSSs in rear and I am much happier with them. Over the road they deliver better performance and more security in the wet. On the track they do well but obviously not as well as the Corsas or Cups, however they do last a ton longer. So if cost is a factor then go with the Michelins as you won't be replacing them as often.

I ran the PS2/PSS combination on One Lap for the last two years. 7 days of tracks and 4000 miles of over the road driving and my tires from last year probably have enough tread left to be used on One Lap again this year. None the less for a good track only tire, the Hoosiers are hard to beat. They last way longer than the Corsas or Kumhos. I would put the Kumhos in second place to the Hoosiers, great on track and if you watch your tire pressures they last maybe twice as long as the Corsas. Of course to run the Kumhos you would have to go to 19 inch front wheels. The Kumho rears last probably twice as long as the fronts by the way.

I have not tried the R888Rs so I can't comment. Because One Lap does not allow R compound tires or tires with a low tread wear rating my choices are now limited to only the Michelin combo above. Even if the PZeros were available I would not use them. Since we buy tires every year for One Lap and get 25% off I tend to burn up my One Lap tires during the year so that I'm ready for a new set come the next One Lap. This past year though I had several sets of Kumhos which I used for track stuff which allowed me to just use my last year's One Lap tires for over the road trips. This is why they've lasted this long. I did just buy another set for One Lap this year given the 25% discount but I'm not sure if I will use the new ones or the ones from last year.

ViperGeorge, I was happy with my last (Factory) set of Corsas.. I got over 15k miles of daily driving on them!! I think they're a great all around tire. How many miles do the MSS/PS2 combo last? Do you think they'll go more than 15k?
