Looking to find out from someone with experience of how this tire will do in cooler weather? I will never drive my car in freezing temperatures but curious to know if these tires will be okay in the very beginning and at the tail end of the season where temps can get down into the 50's and even 40's? Thanks!

I drive my car on them (or did, its in pieces) in all temps without issue. As long as you are not trying to lay down power, especially while turning, you'll be fine.

They're far more sketchy at high speeds in standing water then they are on clear, cold days.

Even Michelins and Pirellis have a temp advisry below 38f

Driving on highways warms them up..... just be careful below 40.... = "No Issues" as you describe.

Oh, and PartsRack sells them at competitive prices,

JonB@PartsRack.com Thanks

No problem for me at temps between 40-50 on chilly desert mornings. Even at 40 PSI the grip is fine.

I have them on my Viper and no problems in the 40s. They warm up fast. I'm especially careful driving in cold weather (cold for SC that is). Started out one morning in the upper 30s and all went well. Temps rose into the 40s later. I called Toyo about this and I was referred to a specific secton of the website where it only warned about temps 15 or below. I thought there would be more info on the site but didn't see anything. https://www.turnology.com/tech-stories/wheels-tires/track-tested-toyos-proxes-r888r-dot-competition-tire/

Absolutely, they have been fine in NY early / late season. I've done 43 degrees and rain on the track with them. (I don't recommend that... but the tires were fine)

And once you get them on the car, sign up for the NY/CT Autocross this year to test them out :-)

First off thank you to all of your responses. Sadly these are not for my Viper as it recently met its demise. They are for my Hellcat but I'm not sure who's words I can trust yet on that site, I've been in the Viper family for years and know I can trust most opinions on this site. Love this place.

Jon, with that said can you get non Viper sizes as well? Looking for 305/35 20. Not in a rush as it is still winter. Let me know. Thank you!

I have them on my Gen 2 and drive it all the time in the cold. Just drove it to P-Town Monday. It was only in the 30's. I'm taking it out again today. No problems whatsoever. Great grip, smooth ride, some noise on certain surfaces on the highway, but loud exhaust drowns it out.

Enjoy the Hellcat. I just ordered a Challenger R/T Blacktop for my wife yesterday. I can't believe she needs a Hemi. I might have influenced her just a bit!!

Hahaha shame on you! I ordered mine back in December, it's built just waiting on the shipping aspect. 2019 Hellcat Redeye Widebody. Will definitely be a change of pace.

They told me 6 to 8 weeks to get it. Sounds like yours was about the same length of time from your order. Your car will be alot more of a beast than mine, but this will be a daily for my wife and a trip car for us. I have enough fast, impractical toys. Love the looks of the Challenger. Head and shoulders above the Camaro and Mustang in appearance.

Get the R888R's. You will be fine in those temps. As others have said, don't try and drive aggressively around turns and don't smash on it from a dig. This is far and away the best tire I have ever put on a sports car.

Thanks again guys! As for the looks of the Challenger I completely agree.
