The Western Reserve VOA proudly announces our third annual Venom Thaw on May 18, 2019! The Venom Thaw will be held along the shores of Lake Erie at the Bayfront Convention Center in Erie, PA. The Officers are continuing to put the final touches on the schedule and activities for the event.



Preliminary Schedule

Friday
Wobbly Pirate Cruise - 6:15pm
Dinner - approx. 8.00pm

Saturday
Cruise along Presque Isle, which will include Lighthouse Tour and a couple of photo ops.

Lunch

Sightseeing cruise aboard the Victorian Princess - 2:30pm

Cocktail Hour

Buffet Dinner which will include an auction and socializing with fellow members.

Sunday
Maritime Museum tour - 9:30am



Lodging

For anyone needing overnight accommodations, rooms are available at the Sheraton Erie Bayfront Hotel. We were able to secure rooms overlooking the Bay at a special group rate of $144 per night (plus taxes & fees). The room rate and room block cover both Friday and Saturday night. Pricing & Reservations

$85 per person

Price includes the Saturday sightseeing cruise, Venom Thaw dinner, and Sunday Maritime museum tour.

Some important updates about the upcoming Thaw!

The room block for the 2019 Venom Thaw is about to expire!! Make sure to get your room reservations in by April 17, 2019.

Another note...reservations for the wobbly pirate are now open. It is strongly recommended that you pre register for the Friday night cruise. You should be able to register for the wobbly pirate at the link here. (https://scallywagspirateadventures.com/) Make sure to book the "booze cruise" for Friday May 17th at 6:15 p.m.

The room block for the Venom Thaw is set to expire this Thursday, April 17! Please be sure to get your room reservations in as soon as possible.

We were able to get the room block for the Thaw extended thru tomorrow, Tuesday April 23, 2019. You will have until 5 p.m. to get your reservations in to ensure you will receive the discounted rate.



We also have another exciting announcement! The grailkeeper himself Herb Helbig (chief engineer team viper, retired) will be joining us for the party. Get your room and party reservations in as soon as possible. See you all next month!

The registrtion deadline for this years Venom Thaw is fast approaching! Make sure to get your dinner reservations in to us no later than may 10! We look forward to seeing everyone there.



We also have another special guest joining us for the Venom Thaw! Mike Stephens aka "The Mamba King" (srt marketing, retired) will be joining us. Mike is responsible for helping create the "mamba" packages for the gen iii vipers.
