Howdy. Been a Gen I and II owner, now in a SSG '08 for a week.

I'm looking to connect radar, phone chargers, etc and see in the owners manual (I don't have a service manual) that there is a "Selectable Power Outlet" in fuse cavity 16-17. I looked that up and learned that it can power up the outlet in the box under your elbow either all the time or only when running. The fuse box under the hood does not seem to have the three legged position that I found images for other Dodge vehicles. Was the Selectable Power Outlet only aspirational or can someone tell me how to convert to run-only? Thanks. 36391

My Camaro had a feature like that, but I've not found anything like that on the Viper. I did the add-a-fuse thing for the couple of accessories I needed switched +12V power for:

The gauges circuit is a switched +12V source. You can just run a 12-14 gauge wire from that source into the cabin to a distribution block like this:

If someone else has found this magical other switched +12V source, please let me know since I'll be doing some wiring clean-up this winter while prepping for a line lock.

Thanks, Steve. I lifted the console around the shifter looking the switched supply and will probably tie into the pop up lighter feed.

That should work too.
