Has anyone wore out a set of Kuhmos from street only use? If so, how many miles did you get on them?

I'm at 4K miles, did some light stuff at NVE3, oval & road course, and still plenty of tread. Factory alignment.

Got almost 6k on the fronts before they showed cord on the inside edge.
Close to 10k on the rears.
Normal mix of street driving with some fun in the hills thrown in.

Shameless plug, but I have a brand new set of front tires sitting in the garage I need to get rid of.

Posting in the classified section for a good deal on new ones if needed.

Should last at least 6-8K with normal street use, maybe more if you are not an aggressive driver.

4500 until corded on the fronts for me. Street only. At 7500 now, and still original rears, but they’re probably getting close.

We suggest that owners should count on 5000 miles, and can massage their driving habits to get more... or less.

Important note: The AGE MATTERS as much as the miles...... Softer R-Compound tires harden MUCH faster than OE rubber. OE tires can be OK up to 6 years, but R-compound, depending on Heat Cycles of course, max out at 3 maybe 4 years...

[Like Viagra, they get harder, sooner]

I'm at 4,000 +/- miles and have been through 4 sets of Kumho's. In all fairness, I went through 3 sets on track days alone. 'Normal' non-track driving seems pretty good on the Kumho's but that's boring. :)
