Hi ,

New to the forum . Recently picked up a 2013 Gts . I remember seeing a aftermarket door clip replacement , I believe it was made out of metal ?

I can’t find the thread or reference to it . Does anyone have any info ?

Thanks

Hi ,

No I am aware of that and due have a question regarding that part . Do you have to wait until the stock piece breaks to install ?

Regarding the door clips , I am referring to the plastic clips that hold the door panel to the car door .

Sorry...wrong guess on my part. I don't recall a substitute for the easily broken plastic clips. Techs I know are pretty careful with removal...and, parts department always seems to have a good supply if needed.

Perhaps someone will chine in with a better answer.

As to timing on the DSE kit installation....I am watching and waiting on our 2014. I do have enough DSE parts for both windows.

Perhaps #8 in the image link below. Call your local Dodge dealer, they may have a couple on hand. If not have them order, can't imagine it would cost much.

Those clips break easily. They are used on other FCA vehicles and my dealer usually has them in stock. I would just replace any broken ones and keep some on hand for the future. They only break when you remove the door panel. As long as it stays in place the clips should be fine.

I should order these as well and get these damn that damn Window Boss Kit installed... my windows sound like shit. They still work, but vibrate and make a bit of noise. Already heard the dreaded "pop" after closing the door one day.

I got a bag of those on ebay, most of the new vehicles produced by Chrysler used them.

I have a bag at home myself. Viper has needed a couple, my Ram may at some point as well.
