Just got a call from Eric at Prefix. The car is done. Had the VBB driver stripe added and the front fascia repainted as well so everything is perfect. I'll be sure to get some higher res pics in a good setting once the car gets home but here is a couple teasers that he sent me. I think it looks awesome and am glad I went with the blue. I've always loved this color scheme on the SSG ACR's and can't believe that SRT didn't offer this color with the drivers stripe.

I really think you should check into this product since, it seems you will keep the car for the long haul. Find a detail/installer near you. It's worth it.

When do you get your car back??
As soon as I either go up and drive it back or find a shipping company that is cheaper than $950 to bring it the 350miles back to Indianapolis. If anyone knows someone with a trailer that can haul a lowered ACR, I'd pay for their meal(s) if interested in riding along and use my tow vehicle...not to mention, maybe we could get a tour of the place while we were up there! :o

Call reliable carriers. They gave me a price of $575 from Detroit to cleveland area I thought it was a good price.

Sorry, I haven't had a chance to get pics yet...I've been driving it! Yesterday was the first beautiful day here of spring, sunny and 63deg. Took it to the dyno. Here is a crappy cell phone pic in garage. I promise to have some high quality pics once the weather gets nice permanently.

To do the drivers stripe and touch up on the front fascia it was almost $4k plus $1k shipping the car, so I was in it for $5k total. Just the stripe would be a little less I'm guessing. They also detail the exterior of the car prior to starting work and go over it completely if you so desire and let you know about anything else that is damaged, blemished, or OE incorrect and will basically fix as much or as little as you want.

No, actually I forgot all about C&C. I wish they would meet on the south side from time to time. When the weather gets a little nicer, I'm sure I will.

You are right....I wouldn't. What kind of $$ did it set you back? They actually asked me if I wanted the stripe buried to give it a perfectly smooth concours type finish there or if I wanted it just like the OEM painted drivers stripes on all the other production cars. I told them buried sounds cool...they said no problem...that'll be 10 grand! I said whoa! I love the car, but not enough for a 10 thousand dollar driver stripe. So, I ended up with OEM.

Yeah, buried would have been awesome but it wouldn't of looked any different, you just wouldn't of been able to feel a slight ridge if you touched it (which I don't let folks do anyway). That said, they didn't offer the driver stripe in VBB from the factory so instead of being 1 of 5, I am now 1 of 1! :)

Wayne, I'm trying to do that Tail of the Dragon trip myself. If you are interested, I am taking the exhaust off the VBB car and putting on a Corsa with the new headers I have coming. You interested in it? Could save you some $$. Post up some pics of the steering wheel if you have any. I'd like to do something there as well and was looking for a company the other day.

You know, I believe the panels and splitter were all removed. I didn't repaint the whole car though, just the minor correction on the front fascia and then the drivers stripe.
