I'm interested in upgrading the mounts on my Gen 3 Viper. The transmission mount is fairly ubiquitous (standard T56 mount from a Chevy), but there don't appear to be many engine mount options. I'd prefer a durometer rating of at least 70A. Does anyone have experience with the following? TIA

If you want to actually receive your mounts just buy them from innovative. https://innovativemounts.com/products/03-10-dodge-viper-replacement-driver-passenger-mount

Have you (or anyone for that matter) tried these vs the Woodhouse mounts?

I have not. After one set of factory mounts failed and im on my second set of woodhouse mounts(partial warrantied), id be willing to try these if my second set of woodhouse mounts fail. I do not recommend the polybushings mounts either, they simply do not fit correctly.

I've used Innovative engine/trans/diff mounts on previous turbo Honda builds with great success (800+hp cars that saw a mix of street/track); they're quality mounts for sure. Didn't realize that they manufactured a mounting solution for our cars. Will definitely go this route.

Please let us know how it turns out...I'm contemplating swapping to poly mounts, and these are the first design I've seen that are different from what's been offered in the past.

As long as these don't melt like the Woodhouse mounts do, 1000% better. I got two on a Heads/cam, was shocked to see how bad the Woodhouse mounts deteriorated.

That's a good point. I'd recommend shielding the mounts (I typically use reflective heat tape), but may fab up small shield that utilizes one of the factory bolts).

Follow up on the trans mount: does anyone know the durometer rating of the Energy Suspension trans mount? I want to ensure the rating matches the engine mounts that I'm going with. TIA

Heh...not sure you'll ever find that info unless maybe you call their tech line? Someone there should know, but who knows.

Doug Shelby offers a trans mount; maybe he'll know at least for the one he carries?

In an ideal world, I'd love a mount that doesn't increase NVH, but holds up better to abuse. I think I'm probably asking too much though.

I know they changed the engine and trans mounts for the Gen 5 Vipers, but I'm not sure why that was. From all accounts I've seen on YouTube, it looks like the shifter stays in much better position when getting on it than it does in my '08. I've missed 3rd and even 4th a couple times at the drag strip, and I have a feeling it is related to the OEM motor/trans mounts.

Likely have a broken mount or starting to. My last woodhouse mount weld broke on the plate and they were separating, would make a 3-4 shift impossible under load.

I'm guessing driver's side is most likely due to how the engine rotates under load? Thankfully, that one looks fairly easy to get to compared to the passenger side mount.

Due to the design of the innovative ones it looks like you can just snake them in there without having to disconnect the exhaust. Always a great to do headers though(insert plug, I’m selling some mms for cheap).

What are you swapping to? ARH?
