I found this on Autotrader, In fact, I've been stalking it on autotrader since it has been posted for a while.

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-sale/vehicledetails.xhtml?listingId=488245941&zip=44135&referrer=%2Fcars-for-sale%2Fsearchresults.xhtml%3Fzip%3D44135%26startYe ar%3D2005%26sortBy%3DderivedpriceASC%26incremental %3Dall%26firstRecord%3D0%26marketExtension%3Don%26 endYear%3D2006%26modelCodeList%3DVIPER%252CSRTVIPE R%26makeCodeList%3DDODGE%252CSRT%26searchRadius%3D 0&startYear=2005&numRecords=25&firstRecord=0&endYear=2006&modelCodeList=VIPER%2CSRTVIPER&makeCodeList=DODGE%2CSRT&searchRadius=0&makeCode1=DODGE&modelCode1=VIPER&clickType=listing

Looks great but I'm having hard times finding more info an a "Mamba Viper" mainly price points and what expected values are currently. Really customized and in my opinion should have that rear end leaving the factory on all verts. Price is a little bit above my liking but wouldn't mind stretching the dollar for the right car.

Did you see the "rebuilt" title note. That would throw off any expected value numbers, except for ones associated with salvage cars, but pool would be much smaller for an accurate assessment.

Yes I noticed the rebuilt title. Probably why he’s having such a tough time selling. Looks clean and really is one of a kind. Just needs the right buyer. In general where are good condition low mileage Mambas sitting for value? What site do you guys use to value these cars? KBB, NADA do not have enough to narrow down some of the specs.

Cool looking and I like the color! I would run that black down the front grill, but maybe that’s just me. I don’t think the price is that bad as long as the frame hasn’t been Frankensteined.

I agree it's unique as hell. Love the coupe back end but on the convertible, the ad says it drives straight but I don't know how much to read into his comment "...was tapped in the rear in traffic" obviously enough to total the car beyond cosmetic repair.

Most of the time when someone asks what I/we think, they are looking for compliments and an excuse to pull the trigger.
That being said, you did ask, I would walk/run away. Hit in rear so hard nothing was left of the vert rear is what I see here.
Does look good, but my spidey senses tingle with this car.

At that price, you're not far off from a clean titled Gen 3. I'd keep looking :)

I have a silver 05, clean title. H&C car. Making about 590 RWHP. Still working on the tune. Built motor, built trans. Great shape, runs nice. Only "issue" some consider it has higher mileage. 73K miles. I would sell for $38,500. The trans was $5K by itself. If you're close by LA (Lower Alabala), feel free to come by and test drive it!

I definitely understand where you’re coming from. I’m only 31 but I’ve jumped on cars that we’re bad deals and ones that were good deals. I wouldn’t pay near what he’s asking but I was just curious what everyone thinks. Never owned a viper. I can imagine rebuilt title is an issue but if the price is right....

It doesn’t take much to total a Viper especially the older versions. I bet a deep scratch in the hood on a G1 or G2 would total one of them. (Probably a gen 5!) 99 rt10s car may be interesting for you if you just add a coupe rear conversion and some paint. Total guess here but you maybe could be just under 50 with the same car, but clean title and a hopped up drivetrain.

The look is awesome, so even if the car listed isn’t your thing you can probably build one. Add a wing and it can look like a ultra unique 2010 ACR convertible that never was made in that color. (Should have!)

What do you want

Buy it and know you will never get your money back, because rebuilt title (you could part the car if you wanted some of you investment returned)

Before you do buy take it to a front end shop and make sure it is straight and the corner weights are correct, body lines all line up... and a good viper tech....

Keep looking, If you wait long enough, if you have time to weight, you will find a car you like better that you can unload if you need to.

I did not think I could afford a viper, ever, but I found one after looking for 20 years. I waited 15 years to test drive an NSX, I'm not in a rush when it come to cars.

Good luck with your search, I hope the web sight has helped.

Site helps a lot, finding a lot of info on here. The resale is something I've thought about...The viper is on my list of cars to own, I'm not sure if you guys saw my intro thread but I'm between a few cars. I have time to wait and find the right deal but my personal feelings on this particular car are 1.) rebuilt (take it for what it is it's still a blemish on title) 2.) Resale value and finally 3.) very unique which I love. The idea is to keep the car as long as possible but life happens so maybe in a few years I need to sell and like some of you have eluded to I may not get what I want and have to cut my losses.
