View Full Version : Best Carbon Fiber Center Bezels?

Does anyone still make real carbon fiber center bezels for around the shifter area and the upper one for the radio/gauge area? Everywhere I looked they were all overlays or hydrocarbon. I'm tired of looking at the matte black bezels and would like to change them. Is the Mopar accessories carbon look ($480/pair) really the best alternative here?

This has been on eBay for a while. No idea if it is good or not. The pictures aren't the greatest.

Thanks Hoboken for the review-- .

At this point I am thinking that maybe some sort of artificial carbon fiber might not be such a bad idea on these complex parts!

Our friend JonB at PartsRack has a nice-looking set of these bezels listed at $429. Might be the Mopar ones but I can't tell. Anyone tried these?

Jon, do these bezels you sell have a separate version for Gen III and for Gen IV (I need a Gen III)?

The parts i posted above were done by APR.

OK, it looks like APR is outsourcing the made-to-order dash pieces to Carbign Craft. $395 for gauge cluster piece and $375 for the shifter bezel. It is done with an overwrap: "We start with factory original parts, permanently bond carbon fiber material onto the surface using specialized resins, then finish with a UV-stable clear coat paint." Core charges apply.

PartsRack has the MoPar bezels at the best value.... $449, [or $349 exchanged.] There is NO piece for the power plug lid.

We also rep the spendier APR parts and can provide some $aving$ there, as well as might have the cores needed. if CITY knows how to post a pic he can show you some CF-APR we did for him a while back..... CITY ?

element 7........... your parts have been lost for 7 days, you should have your refund in 7 days, your order of 7 screws will be shipped in 7 boxes. this way 7 more chances of them being lost. after you place your order your blood pressure will rise at least 7 times more than normal.

MaCarbon does some of the best aftermarket carbon work. Take a look at his website. He did some pieces for my new 911 and MP-12C. I asked him if he would do pieces for my vipers and he said he tried in the past but never had good experiences (owners didn't want to pay). I would be willing to call him if a few us wanted to get it done. I have 2 vipers that I would order dash etc.

If it looked like this and price is reasonable I would be down.

My buddy does the hydrodipping on some of his parts, while it looks cool for some items with certain patterns, the fake CF look is not for me.

Another alternative is 3M Di-noc, a checkered pattern vinyl. But, for me, like the hydrodipping, its not for me.

I do know how to post a pic, but I don't have one. The CF dash that I rec'd from Jon is excellent! Really looks original (in a black Viper with graphite stripes and a black/gray interior). It looks FAR better than the plastic CF replica pieces, but then again, the CF is more expensive. It also runs the full dash including over the driver side instrument panel (speedo/tach).

If I remember, I'll take some pics.

Please do! Cant get enough of carbon fiber!!

I know, and I'm _way_ behind on the Viper. My Ducati is completely slathered in CF; even the fuel pump cover is twill carbon.

But I guess since this is Kalifornia, I better watch my carbon (fiber) footprint, or the environmental police will be after me... :police-car-004:

I used Di-Noc on my console. Still need to get it installed. Here is the finished look.

Looks like this site also does carbon fiber covering. Found it through the APR performance page.

While it looks better than that hydrodipping crap, it still looks fake. Sorry, you did a great job getting it laid on, but it still looks fake. But I wonder if it was clear coated would it look real then?
