I'm getting some aftermarket wheels/tires and selling my SW2 Hyperblack setup. I currently have lowering caps. If I want to lower the car more at a later time, what is a good coilover setup that won't break the bank? I don't race or track the car ever. Just a daily driver. BTW if anyone is wanting to buy my SW2 setup with Toyo R888, let me know. I prefer local pickup in the Dallas/Fort Worth because shipping would be a pain.

BC Racing are good entry level coilovers. That's what I plan on getting for my 04 in the near future; have used them on other platforms in the past with good results.

I was about to post that I found BC was good for the money. I just emailed them.

I like the fact that you can adjust ride height without affecting spring preload.

They recommended this kit for daily driving. They said I could get the upgrade Swift springs for better handling, more consistent rates , and better ride quality.

If you have the basic SRT set up, why not go with the 3 way adjustable setup off a GTS? I would bet it is a better designed system than the BCs. Cheaper too. Probably get a set for $1100 or so.

Can they be controlled with the SRT PCM (sport mode)?

I didn't think the GTS coilovers were height adjustable????

If his goal is lowering the car he is stuck with aftermarket or ACR coilovers, not that anyone would want an ACR suspension on a non ACR.

I won’t be racing so don’t need all the adjustability. Looking more for lowering the car if the car won’t be low enough with lowering caps and my new wheel/tire setup.

If you’re looking to adjust your ride height for a bargain, BCs are a good start. I had them on a previous Viper and are installed on my current one, both with the Swift springs upgrade. I’ve previously had KW V2s and Penskes. The Penske were superior in ride quality, but are 3x the price as the BCs. I hated my KWs.

FYI the OEM GTS bi-mode suspension is not height adjustable.

Can you tell any difference with the upgraded Swift springs? Are they worth the extra $350?

GTS system is not 3 way or height adjustable. It's an electronically adjustable bi-mode suspension that is either in Street Or Sport mode. The modes only adjust dampening, not the height.

Also there was a thread I recall about transposing oem coilovers; someone tried to put TA coilovers on their GTS and it locked up with computer errors.

EDIT: doesn't look like TEIN manufactures coilovers for our cars. Bummer.

I’ve never driven on BCs without the Swift springs upgrade.
