Does the service manual deliniate a hinge lubrication method? Does anyone know it?

While I don't recall a procedure in the service manual on CD, I have done scores of hinges using white lithium SPARINGLY on the various articulating points. The same hinge is used on Gen III, IV, and V Vipers. Avoid leaving excess grease behind. I use the supplied "straw", to which I attach another 4-5 " of small PE hose. Depending on use, and and change in sound or resistance noted of opening/closing door, I generally lube the hinges ABOUT once a year. So far, all of our hinges are working in all Vipers. I do this more often on Grand Cherokee hinges...especially in the winter, "salty" months.

Hinges on Gen 5s seem to fail more often for some reason. Mine made noise and no amount of grease would quiet it down or reduce the creaking. Had to replace the hinge. Viper Tech confirmed that the hinge was bad. I think it made the noise almost from new. Others on here have had the same problem.

Mine squeaked a bit from new. It went away when the dealership greased it while in for a service, but it came back. Then it seemed to go away on it's own, I think it "wore in"?
