I'm curious as to where a stock Gen v acr would fit in that list. The acr always reminds me of an extreme japanese tuner car when I look at it.
Did any ACR's get shipped over to Japan that anyone knows about?

That track would be a dream come true to drive.
Edit: actually it’s Suzuka that’s my fave Japanese track. f1 races there every year

An ACR like Arizona's would probably be the one best suited to challenge the top dogs. I would think a stock ACR would be mauled by the top cars here. Some of them are putting out more power than the ACR while being much lighter and also have more downforce if memory serves. Been a while since I used to be into this kind of racing.

Against the purpose built cars, the acr would definitely struggle, unless of course its a built viper. Against the production cars though, it would be an interesting fit, especially if it could break the one minute barrier.
Back around 06, I worked in one of the more well known rx7 shops over there on a trial basis to see if I wanted to move there, I was assigned to work with the shop owner on their time attack car and he spoke a lot about that track.
His car was more focused on having balanced engine response more than overall power, it was a stock drivetrain fd3s with as much rubber and brake that could be fit under a stock fendered car, and it was a fast car on that track. There were
many cars that had a lot more power than his car, but he said the drivers always said they were fighting the big power instead of using it there.
Aero definitely has become big over there, and in usual japanese fashion, they've gone sort of nuts with it. I get a few magazines by subscription from over there with track event coverage, and you see these guys that add so much aero over time, they start going slower and slower.
The cars that end up top 5 usually look a lot more reasonable, along the lines of the ACR aero.
Suzuka is great facility, I went to a track day there and it was super cheap for 4 hours of time.It was an amateur event, but even those guys showed up with electric tire warmers complete with generator, 4 sets of rubber, 3 different brake compounds etc etc.

There are a couple of Gen V Viper ACRs in Japan. When I was looking into importing a GT-R, I noticed a few were for sale. The Viper club in Japan is pretty big too.
