Trying to get the car tuned

I went to Prospeed (formerly d3 engineering) to get my car tuned today. They ran into a problem saying that hp tuners dont recognize the os on this particular car. They called hp tuners and they said they have never seen this o.s on a viper before. Prospeed suggested I take the car to the dealership and get the computer reflashed. Has anyone ran into a similar issue on there car? If I get it reflashed does it change the o.s? Can any big dodge dealership perform a reflash?

To my knowledge the only tuning on GenV's is Arrow & HPTuners. You sure you don't have an Arrow PCM on your car? I know we weren't able to overwrite my Arrow PCM and I had to get a Factory one.

We checked it and it is not a arrow pcm. We are trying to use hp tuners. I bought this car with 900 miles on it and looked very stock.

Interesting.

If it were me I’d go to a large dealership first. Ask them to verify the stock PCM and ask them to update to the latest flash.

There have been updates. It at least then you’ll know what you have officially in the car and can start from there.

There are a few solid tuners, HP is the way to go, so you’re right in what you’re doing.

From what I’ve seen from AC and Calvo/Ninjaneer I’d go with one of those two myself.

I have tried to get with calvo but they havent called me back. I have left 3 messages with the lady that answers the phone to schedule a appointment and she said they would call me back but i haven't heard from them. Prospeed seems very knowledgeable about the viper. They are super nice and easy to deal with. They also have several gen 5s in there shop now.

I would reach out to Torrie from Unleashed, tuned my Gen V and it does great.

Torrie tuned my gen 3 viper swap roadrunner single 88mm turbo. It runs perfect. I am not real computer savvy so i guess I'm a little scared of messing something up. I did my plymouth remote with a sct tuner. I have never used hp tuners before.

HPTuners is super easy to use, Read the file, send it to torrie, load the one he sends you and just click write. (When you get your pcm sorted out)
