Does anyone have any extra black lugs they d part with

I need 2 black lugs for my 14 GTS. I purchased a set from JonB and while the tech was working on installing my new diff he had 2 stripped studs which he is replacing, but they can only replace with stock lugs which are chrome.

I emailed JonB but I he only sells fulls sets.

Please let me know if you have 2 to sell me.

Sorry about the bad luck. Some would suggest that you "allow" the tech's employer buy a full of the matching set lugs...or, you buy the full set and divide the price by 24, allowing the tech to take the price of two lugs off of your bill. Then, save the extras for future misadventures.

That said, my own style would be to accept what they gave handy so that you can get back on the road as soon as possible. If the mismatch bothers you for the short term, a little black paint should help with the aesthetics. I would buy a full set of lugs, and graciously allow the shop to change out the odd ones...thus maintaining a good relationship with the shop and the tech. Believe me, the extras will come in handy at some point as your situation is not uncommon in my experience.

If the shop is stripping lugs, they're using a large impact on them, a gigantic no-no (despite the fact that 99% of shops use big ass impact guns, that doesn't make it right). Lugs are to be started by hand, run down with whatever (low impact like a 3/8 electric) and torqued with a torque wrench only.

A seized lug nut is not as unusual of a problem as you might think. Especially, I think, if the wheels have seen very high heat loads from braking, like during track days.
