Have you had any bites on this? Maybe post up some more pics to get somebody on the ether. I would love an all black ACR, would just never be able to get it smogged.

:iamwithstupid:

ACR-X heads, corsa cat back and PCM... hmmm doubt it would be a Cali buyer. Nice car

Not to jack the thread but, what do you guys do with all the highly modded cars in CA when it's smog time? Put the OEM stuff back on?

Sorta off-topic but where'd you get that great data sheet? Happen to have one for 2008? Curious what the stripe vs. no stripe build numbers were for my car.

When I lived in Michigan and they required emissions testing to get plates every year, there were a lot of places that would give you a passed emissions test for any car. All they did was test a different car and key in the VIN number of the car that wouldn't pass for the test. You got the print out of the passed emissions test with your VIN number and it was no problem getting your plates.

That's not to say I ever did it!:anonymous:

Always amazes me how people wont take the time to post decent pics and very detailed information about the product theyre trying to sell. POST GOOD PICS. Take the time to sign up at a free site to host the pics. Youre wondering why it hasnt sold yet. Its amazing what good information and pics will do for your sale. Its NOT hard. Anyway, GLWS.

Joshua,

Get on Photobucket. Up load some pics from your personal files to there. Then you can easily re-size them to fit the forum restrictions. I have found that I do loose some resolution when doing this but they still look fair.

This will really not take much of your time and I agree with Austin......pictures do sell. You get some cool shots of your ACR and it will get people thinking more about it.

...its like Match.com......no one bothers with profiles without pictures !! (I know....I am probably the only one on this site who has been to the match site, or at least admitting to it)

Good luck

Josh,

Go to imageshack.us, click "upload", gather all of the pics that you wish to post off of your harddrive and upload. When it is finished it will give you codes to paste into the reply box, paste them and profit.

Just asking, not for a price as it is not my business of course, but, is an 08 ACR with 20,000 miles on it in mint condition and K&N fi;ters and full Belanger exhaust, one owner car worth 63000 US . Asking you Leslie as it is the exact same year and color combo as yours.

DITTO!

I was pleasantly surprised when Bill P/Woodhouse called me. We both discussed the trade, made an agreement, and BAM!

48 hrs. later an ACR was in my garage.

Doesn't get any sweeter than that!

So true,

It looks like times are a changing as more people are finding trading the car in now a days brings in more money than selling it privately. With the tax savings with your trade in and the no nonsense transaction, it seems a more viable option today.

I have been asking 57 US for my 08 and no takers. I have had offers for low 50's which is way too low for an 08 Vert with the options mine has and the condition it is in, yet,

The dealer here would give me 50 as a trade on a new SRT. With the tax savings, I would be near my asking give or take a few.
Its just that I am not in the market for a new car, I am looking for an ACR myself so need to either make a trade +cash or sell outright and come cash in hand.

slitherv10 I sent you a pm. I have looked into trades but all dealers I have talked to want to wholesale the car and not keep it and 2010 ACR are not listed in a black book at all so they put numbers as if it was a normal coupe. Still trying to make a deal on a gen V. Thanks for your input and going to try and get the better pics uploaded shortly.

Joshua

Maybe it's lack of communication, prior Viper transaction history, or the fact you'd like to keep the monroney report for the car you're trying to sell. Or the fact you're asking far more then the car is worth. If anyone is contemplating buying this car do your diligence first.

What you are posting has nothing to do with you. I have sold a number of parts off my cars to other Viper members over the years owned. I have owned a viper since 06. I have never done any business with you personally yet you feel that you know facts that you should post. If I sell or don't sell my car is none of your concern. The kind of post you put is why I'm a member of the VOA and not of VCA. A number of people have seen my car including Maurice who can vouch for it condition as well as other local members.

08viperviolet - You have a great looking Viper. It is considered high mileage if I read the ad correctly of 20,000 miles. That's not my opinion. I was told that anything over 10,000 miles is considered high mileage by guys looking for used Vipers.

As you know this time of the year isn't the best to try to sell any car, even a Viper.

Might I suggest waiting for a couple of months and then advertising it again? The Gen V's I'm sure are going to be there. The TA's should have all been sold by then but plenty of other Gen V's will be available.

That is the biggest thing I found when looking at used Vipers. A car that has 20k on it is considered high...wtf?

They are bulletproof so mileage isn't a big concern, which makes them a non-exotic car (in some people's eyes), but when pricing a used one out they get punished like it is an exotic car (high mileage = big maintenance headaches)... :P

Sometimes you can't win for trying. GLWS!

I think that some of the high miles remarks are due to the fact that there are so many Vipers with very low miles. In other words, its not saying that the car has high miles and getting worn out but rather by comparison, it has high miles since so many are in the 5-10K range

I agree, too many of them aren't getting enjoyed. These are not exotic cars, stop treating them like one. 20,000 miles isn't anything, I'm more concerned with the 10 year old 1000 mile car than the 2 year old 20,000 mile maintained car. Unfortunately, buyers still view it that way.

Don't sh!t on the guys thread, if there is something people need to know about the car, PM them. As far as the Moroney goes, it's his choice to give it with the car.
