Whats going on VOA. This is my first posting here to this site considering I am new to the Viper community. I recently bought a 2008 Viper with 14,800 miles on it. It's pretty clean with a few bolt ons. It has alden suspension all around, bored out intake, Belanger headers and exhaust (no cats) and some other goodies. I am reaching out because I recently brought it to Track Night of America at Pocono Raceway. I had a hell of a time but during the last run, I lost 80% of my clutch pedal travel and my 4th gear grinded as well as down shifting into 2nd. I got off the track and on the way home I avoided 4th bc of the grind and the trans felt different all around in a bad way. Before I took it on the track I changed all fluids. I have had this clutch pedal issue once before and after doing research people where saying with headers, older brake fluid tends to boil so after I changed it, I pushed the car and it never happened again until track day.
Basically, i'm asking if anyone has had any similar experience? Is there a fix with this fluid boiling? Im sure I did enough damage to have my trans case openned up so if i need rebuild do you know of a good upgrade while its open?
FOR YOU JERSEY GUYS- Do you know of any reputable viper mechs/ shops that can check it out and do the work? I am nowhere near set up to take tackle this job myself so I gotta come out of pocket for this one. Im located near linden/elizabeth area.
Thank all.
