Why do you want one?

Because it reads factory fill 15w-50 instead of 0w-40, it's red, and off an ACRX....probably worth ~5 hp.

I wanted to thank Jon B for finally finding one of these for me (I had looked myself, calling and emailing numerous sources over the last couple of months with zero luck). In fact, I was told more than a few times the ACRX oil cap/label was no different than the 0w-40 cap and didn't exist.

Unnecessary? Yes. Dumb? Yeah, maybe. But I like rare stuff and I'm pretty sure it's something no one else has (or at least very few have) on a "regular" Viper....and since I switched to Mobil 1 15w-50 now and the cap label goes with the car's other redness, I think it's kind of cool.

I believe Jon found it in Europe and if it isn't brand new, you can't tell. Jon wrote me there's an interesting backstory on the cap I haven't heard yet. Maybe he'll tell it here.

And #3 I like rare stuff too!

It was difficult to 'part' with once found .... The grand-search was domestic and intl and involved several of the buyers of the 12+ crate-motors we sold when the program ended. It was akin to the "Green Doohickey" search of G 1 days.....
