Viper night out in the Woodlands

Anyone interested in a night out in the Woodlands area? My wife and I just took delivery of our dream car and want to take it out for dinner and fellowship. There is a nice place called Bob's Steak and Chop in Shenandoah that has great food and I would be willing to get us a group table, if anyone is interested. I'm thinking September...first week sometime. Maybe a week night or possibly a weekend. This could be a group decision once we determine who is interested. Ron

Alright gang. We have decided on a date for the dinner out meet and greet. If no rain (because my viper has never seen rain or wet streets) the date night will be September 6, 2018. We have it narrowed down to two places and my wife is checking them both today. We will have special up front parking and a reserved place for us to sit either out on a patio near the snakes or at the windows where we will be overlooking the snakes. I will update all with the place and time as soon as it is decided upon. Looking like it will be quite a turnout and we are looking forward to meeting everyone. I will get a list of RSVPers as soon as we get the place locked down. If you don't really care about the place and know you are coming no matter where we go, then go ahead and send me a "YES" i'm in and that will help with the planning process. Thanks in advance...Ron

An update for those wishing to attend the meet and greet...
One of the places we were thinking about can only accommodate 7 vipers up front so we have decided to check another before we finalize. I think we already have more than 7 who have RSVP'd.
The date is still the same and the time is looking like 1700-1730 arrival??? The wife and I will probably head up a little earlier just to make sure everything is prepared for our group. That is all for now. Hope to see everyone soon. Ron

OK comrades here is the latest and last post...unless I need to answer questions from someone. Dusty1 if you want to send this to anyone else, feel free...the more the merrier...

The place we decided upon was Woodson's Tap at 2330 FM 1488. The time is 1700-1730 meet then eat. They will have eight spots up front for our babies to park. More are available, he just can't cone them off unless he receives permission from the owner of the center. So if we have more than eight RSVP, I will call him and make further arrangements.

As it stands, we have Viper-Rich, Scott Holmes, slowhatch, mongo07, viperrobare and me...that is 6 confirmed. Then flat-out and toxic are maybes...

Hopefully more can attend, but if not I understand and maybe we can do this again soon and make it a once a week or month dinner night out...Let me know if anyone needs anything else from me. Ron

OK Gang there is a 30% chance of rain tomorrow. I will send out a note around 1200-1300 to let you know whether or not I am going to drive down. If everyone is still good to go, then I will confirm with the management and have the spaces available for the cars up front. I need a hard count for the spaces. Like I said in previous notes. My baby girl has never experienced a wet road in her life, so I may still show up, but I may not be in her if there is a chance of rain between me and the restaurant. Watch the chat for news tomorrow. If I have to change the meet & eat to next week, how is everyone for Monday or Wednesday?

Good morning everyone. Well we had four show and 1 viper. I didn't take mine out of the garage, because it was pouring when it was time to leave. I guess the weather kept others in as well. The food was good and the company was great! Mark and Shirley thanks for bringing your beautiful ride out and braving the elements. Not a drop was shed at the restaurant the entire time. I hope Mark chose the dry route back. The manager of Woodson's understood and told us to feel free to have dinner at his place anytime. All we have to do is ring him up and let him know and he will cone off the 8 spots up front. Mark's viper was a hit and almost all entering took notice of his beautiful ride. I can only imagine if we had all eight spots filled what folks would say. We'll try it again once monsoon season is over. Have a great day! Ron

It looks like I missed the Christmas party and I am going to be vacationing in Coasta Rica in January during the Lucky's Rod Run to College station. I took a fine ride through the National forest last weekend, the weather was awesome. Yes, I have a good friend that lives in Willis but he drives a Corvette so I guess he can't be that great of a friend Haha. Definitely lets get together
