Very Nice, I did one side and never got the other, did not seal and not it looks like crap again. Good Job!

Thank you. Yeah hopefully the sealant holds for a while.

looks really neat, I presume you just wetsanded the VIPER letters? I've been cleaning mine every few months with a brillo to keep 'em shiny

Don't utilize Brillo it is steel on aluminum. You should use a scotchbrite pad or better yet synthetic steel wool both available from 3M.
Having said that, nice looking covers may have to do mine now. Have valve cover envy!

Looks great! I did the same thing on my Gen 4 - they looked like garbage with the oxidation and general crud. I wet sanded them with some ultra-fine sandpaper, commonly referred to as micro mesh:

Those things go up to 12,000 grit. I then finished it off with some aluminum polish...it isn't 100% perfect, but it's pretty damn close. I might make it a winter project to do some more wet sanding to get out a couple more imperfections, but I also didn't want to remove any paint in the process. I'll probably eventually get them powder coated, but I don't want to take the car down long enough to get that done. Maybe one of these winters...that red clashes pretty badly with the Venom red exterior paint on mine.

Whoops! I'll try the wetsand method or synthetic steel wool in future
Thanks for the tip

Snapped a couple, but they were taken in my garage at night, so I don't feel they do them justice:
