Anybody nearby that can help? My serpentine belt just snapped and I'd rather not call a tow. I'll pay for the belt if someone can pick one up and bring tools.

Nope, wound up being my idler pulley blew its bearings and that caused it to lock up dragging my serpentine belt across it and then the serpentine belt snapped.

How many miles on the car when the idler pulley failed?

52K give or take a hundred. Another guy around here blew his pulley at about 60K. Apparently that's their time to go lol.
