I’ll be running the Viper at CMT in a couple of weeks and I’m concerned about the Vipers exhaust bring too loud. Anyone run a stock gen 5 there?
I can’t find anything on the web about what a gen 5’s dB’s are... the tracks limit is 92dB
Any help would be appreciated.

The previous owners of my X ran there a lot as they were local to the track. I don't believe they ever had any issues there.

Don’t know that track but here in CA Laguna Seca has days with 92 dB limits
No way a stock Viper with side exhaust will be at 92 or lower
I just did a quick google search, “Mount Tremblant race track sound limits”. Lots of current info you should read. Take a look

What are folks doing to get their DBs down?

I'm guessing you're asking that question related to a track restriction vs. every day driving?
First thing you need to tackle is how does the track monitor sound. At Laguna Seca they have a sound booth set up between turns 5 & 6. The track runs CCW so the booth is on the passenger side of the car. What hurts side pipe vipers more than others is that their exhaust exit is point towards the sound booth.
At Laguna there are two ways to reduce sound, lift off the gas going by the sound booth, or, construct some kind custom exhaust tip that might have a resonator, but, points in a different direction. The pic below is from a buddies comp coupe. You'll see others on the internet that do similar thinks too with rear exhaust cars.
Each track is going to be different in how they enforce if they have a db restriction. A google search will give you great info on the particular track, you'll see comments/ideas from other car groups, NASA and other track organizations on what the issues are and how to overcome if it is possible.
The exhaust pic below got this guys car down from +108db to about 106db, but still not enough to pass on a 105db day there. My car can pass a 105db day and he and I have basically the same set up, G3 with headers and no cats, my muffler must be a little quieter. Good luck and spend some time on line researching for your track. You'll find good info out there Mike

I've been running regularly at Mont-Tremblant since 2008 with my '08, '13 and '16 GenV with Belanger headers, H/F cats and AR mufflers and I never got stopped for the 92db. Bruce H also comes with his stock TA and has no problem either. I know of 2 stock GenV ACR-E that are good also. A friend with a 2010 ACR-X is over the limit and gets the black flag almost every time. So if your exhaust is stock or not too loud you'll be fine. There are 2 sound meters and it probably depends on where they are located, to be a little permissive.
When are you coming ?, I'll be there on August 31 with the Quebec Viper Club Track day.

I'll be running with BMW CCA next weeekend. It looks like an awesome Viper track! I'm coming all the way from the Washington DC area.
What's a respectable lap for a Viper? I'm excited! It will be my 12th track visited and first out of a country.

Great, anything under 2 min is a good time for a street car on a lapping day.
So far my personal best was a 1:54 on the Corsas.

First day in the books. No black flags for noise!
I logged a 1:56 with a virtual 1:53 on the lap timer. I’m starting to nail down turn 1, 2, and 3. The blind turn sure takes a little bit to get used to.
I’m topping out at 4th going down the long straight and bouncing off the limiter. I can maybe squeeze a few mph more out of the straight but I’m not going to try on a lapping day.
I hope to get into the low 50’s tomorrow.
What is amazes me are these Corsa’s. They are stamped 10/14 and are getting nice and mushy with a ton of good grip. So impressive!!
Until tomorrow.
