Well i bought my viper to drive. Taking my wife on a weekend trip, got her down to a few small bags to fit in the trunk with the removable top :)

Are there any tricks to keep my baby from being stolen besides locking and setting the alarm? Can you pull a main coil wire? Can't stop someone from towing it way, just don't want to let them drive it away.

Plan on parking at the front of the hotel in clear sight of the front desk. The plan is to stay at hampton inns along the way.

Thanks for any tips.

I haven’t heard of Vipers being stolen. Small and too communicative owner group for it to provide much benefit. My biggest concern is damage, either intentional or unintentional (I.e. picture takers contacting the car). Ay hotels I have always sought a ground floor outside room and parked very close and only slept half way. The old one eye open kind of way. To date no issues.

Car cover with a cable lock helps.

Great idea with the fuse, thanks

I will employ the same tactic with my 68 camaro resto mod, instead of pulling the coil wire.

2 cars were stolen at the Good Guys Nationals down in Columbus last weekend.

It's just a car. No one but you will care. Just park it.

2 cars were stolen at the Good Guys Nationals last weekend in Columbus, they were hot wired. Pulling the fuse is a great idea. I was pulliing the coil wire on my 68 Camaro.

Throw a car cover on it that says PRIUS.

$20 to the concierge/front desk manager or valet manager usually does the trick!

Alarm that alerts your phone when your car is touched.

This subject has always been my biggest fear of traveling with the Viper, not so much on theft but getting vandalized scratched or door dings. I think the only way to feel safe is to go to high dollar motels where not so many jealous idiots that would damage it would be. jmo.
